When Pratt (Mekhai Pfieffer) is dying. He cannot speak but he mouths the question, "PE?" to ask if he is having a pulmonary embolism. They tell him yes and tears stream down his face. He knows he doesn't have more than a few minutes to live. He has a diamond engagement ring in his pocket that he will never get to use.

Also, when Carter pulls an engagement ring out of his pocket under the table. He is seconds from proposing to Abby when she makes a cynical comment about how love never survives. He puts the ring back in his pocket. The relationship is over.

I watched all of ER, but don't remember these. I do remember Carter and the intern being stabbed quite vividly. And, of course, Mark Greene. And Doug Ross looking sexy.

On a semi-serious note, why could the doctors not treat Pratt for a PE? I assume that he was in the ER during this.

He was in an ambulance and a car near the ambulance exploded. He thought he was fine, walked away...but had some kind of internal blast injury and was bleeding badly. The PE was one in a cascade of problems. I can't remember exactly but I think someone else got badly hurt in this explosion, too.

It's not SITC, it's SATC..."Sex AND the City." Hate that.

Ditto to the Dire Straits reference. I'm actually RE watching WW on Netflix.

Absolutely heartbreaking, I was haunted by that episode for a long time. The song wasn't nearly as over used then.

Outlander, Jamie's rape and torture scenes

Yeah, not much gets to me, but that sure did. Too much.

Lost--Sun decides to stay with Jin when he pulls out a flower at the airport.

The Office--Jim and Pam's "love is patient" wedding recitation as they struggle to hug and make up

SATC--"I don't LIVE here anymore!" Montage of Carrie running in Paris and Miranda running after her MIL. When Miranda finds MIL and gives her a bath, Magda proudly saying, "That is love."

Cheers--"I'm the luckiest son of a bitch on Earth."

West Wing--Bartlett shutting down that conservative homophobic nut with several Bible verses, finally telling her she needs to stand when POTUS enters a room

ER - when the couple (Bradley Whitford played the husband) were joking and happy, the wife has a baby, and next thing you know, the wife suddenly dies.
Mad Men - when Peggy tells Don she is leaving the firm
Party of Five - the intervention episode with Bailey when the youngest sister confronts him.
Outlander - when Capt Randall rapes Jaime

ER - the helicopter chopping off the doctors arm. Totally freaked me out. I was afraid to watch the show after that. A little afraid of helicopters to this day.

Sopranos - Adriana vomiting when meeting with the Feds, Adriana stumbling into the woods terrified right before being killed

The Wire - Bubbles and the grocery cart full of crap

Roseanne - last episode, Roseanne at her typewriter explaining everything - such a great series finale.

General Hospital - Laura sobbing black mascara streaked tears telling Scotty about the rape (dear god I am an old woman!!)

American Idol - Kelly Clarkson's reaction when
she won, barely could sing the song - her voice squeaking and gasping. It was awesome!

On the West Wing when Bartlett meets with the Chinese Catholic defectors and asks them who is the head of their church. Everyone is expecting them to say the Pope. The main guy says "Jesus " and Bartlett knows they are truly Christians and not just faking it for asylum.

Either way, it was just a terrible show.

Yes, but that was what 15-20 years ago? I'm like Kelly Bundy, I can only store a limited amount of useless info at a time.
