Either way, it was just a terrible show.

It was well done. A testament to the time that such awful people were such beloved characters.

The scene where Roseanne is accusing Darlene of having sex with David in her bedroom, and Roseanne is arguing that it could have been done even with Roseanne and Dan downstairs and Roseanne says, "you could do it all quiet and stuff so we wouldn't hear you." And Darlene says, "Really? You can't."

In Designing Women when Suzanne refers to the breastfeeding group La Leche as "La Leaky" - I wasn't anywhere close to having a baby when I heard that and yet it stuck with me all these years.

Hell yeah, it does!

I have seen all the episodes so many times, and I still find the writing brilliant.

And I still think the hummus offensive could have worked

Of course, I also couldn't buy Ross and Rachel at the end of friends. The baby was just a plot device forcing them into being a family.

Agreed. I found the ending of SATC ridiculous - especially the "you girls are the loves of her life" thing. Eye-roll inducing.

Scenes that I remember from ER: the stabbing, especially the follow-up episode where Lucy dies. Mark's death, too, was well done. And when Clooney returned for Julianna Margulies' last episode. And Love's Labor Lost - the episode where the mother dies right after giving birth.

Finales: MASH. Six Feet Under final montage, which made me cry.

North Korean, goodness you people have poor memories.

Yes, but that was what 15-20 years ago? I'm like Kelly Bundy, I can only store a limited amount of useless info at a time.

Actually OP is correct. The Christian was Chinese.

The piano player who tried to defect and was denied was North Korean.

If it makes you feel any better, I was wrong that they were Catholic. This says they were evangelicals.

Everyone always remembers this one, but for me the far creepier scene is when Kimberly first shows up on the beach, watching Michael and Sydney through the window of the beach house. That was the first time we saw her alive. So disturbing.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

When Buffy finds her mother dead. That scene was so perfect and ordinary and human for a show that was so out there.

you know what, though? The best part of the show was that their reactions to just about everything were pretty genuine and human. Even the crazy shit they dealt with like vampires and hell beasties and what not.

One of my favorite lines: "It's the end of the world..." "AGAIN???!!!"

OMG, those scenes with Bob stick with me because he scares the ever living crap out of me. I only listened to the last half of the finale because I seriously can't watch that dude without wanting to hide behind the couch.
