S/O What TV show scenes have stuck with you.....

MASH had many, many memorable scenes. In addition to Radar announcing Henry's death, the scene in the final episode where Hawkeye finally remembers about the chicken. The episode where Charles gets the injured concert pianist the sheet music for one hand and he plays for the first time after his accident, when BJ and Klinger get drunk after Radar's departure.

The finale of St Elsewhere where the hospital becomes the snow globe.

The episode of Family Ties where Alex's friend dies and he questions why he lived.

I am so cheesed out by Miranda's "go get our girl" line.

My SITC scene is the one where Miranda's mom dies and the sales lady is helping her pick out a shitty black bra. And later when Samantha breaks down at the funeral and Miranda mouths "thank you."

Also when Aiden yells "you broke my heart" when Carrie's trying to get him back after she cheated on him.

The second movie ruined some of this for me since they changed Aidan's character and made him a cheater. Don't buy he have done that after being cheated on.

The only SITC scene that has stayed with me is Sam discovering the gray pube when she finally grew out her bush. It prepared me for middle age.

Omg,that family ties episode with his friend's death. Still kills me.

No one has mentioned Buffy's "the body" episode? That is possibly the most brilliant episode of any show dealing with death. Anya's breakdown? I bawl every damn time. Because as a former demon, she is the only one who can say the entirely true things about human death that make no sense.

There are some taxi and cheers episodes that stick with me. I frequently quote the cheers episode where cliff is on jeopardy.

West Wing-- Toby is drinking a lot and Leo tells him a story about helping a friend. Goes something like man falls into a hole. Friend is passing by above ground and hears friends cry for help. Man jumps into hole with friend. Man gets mad at friend for jumping into the hole and is upset because they are now both struck. Man who jumped in says no... I've been down here before and I know the way out.

La Law--mean female atty falls to her death when she steps into an elevator shaft with no elevator

Cosby Show--Rudy is convinced that there is a party downstairs every night after she has to go to bed. One night Cliff throws an actual party. Now that I'm a parent I get the humor of this.

Last show of Newheart when Dick wakes up next to Emily and tells her about this dream he had about owning an inn in Vt.

The SITC episode for me was when Miranda and her bucket seat baby carrier was shoed into the taxi by Samantha and the rest of the girls went shopping. Miranda sees Carrie out of the window as the taxi pulls away from the curb and realizes her lifestyle has officially changed.

And the scene where Miranda names the baby Brady.

The ER episode with Kellie Martin and Noah Wylie.

The scene in Pet Sematary (yes, it is spelled that way) in which Rachel is having a flashback about her sister Zelda, who was bed-bound and suffered some horrible disease that twisted her spine. I was about 10 and my babysitter was watching the movie and let me stay up, and that scene HAUNTED me for years. The sound of Zelda's voice, the hideous twisted spine, and Rachel-the-child's terror at having to live in a house with this monstrosity... Oh my god, it freaks me out still.

Josh, not Toby.

When Pratt (Mekhai Pfieffer) is dying. He cannot speak but he mouths the question, "PE?" to ask if he is having a pulmonary embolism. They tell him yes and tears stream down his face. He knows he doesn't have more than a few minutes to live. He has a diamond engagement ring in his pocket that he will never get to use.

Also, when Carter pulls an engagement ring out of his pocket under the table. He is seconds from proposing to Abby when she makes a cynical comment about how love never survives. He puts the ring back in his pocket. The relationship is over.

I watched all of ER, but don't remember these. I do remember Carter and the intern being stabbed quite vividly. And, of course, Mark Greene. And Doug Ross looking sexy.

On a semi-serious note, why could the doctors not treat Pratt for a PE? I assume that he was in the ER during this.

Cheesy show with hideous characters.

Yeah, I agree. The first couple seasons of SITC were ok, then it just got sad and pathetic. After all that angst, I think her with Big in the end is just ridiculous.

Of course, I also couldn't buy Ross and Rachel at the end of friends. The baby was just a plot device forcing them into being a family.

ER-- Mark Greene is visiting his mom or dad and somehow ends up in a military base hospital. There is a crash and the ER us slammed. The chief asks Mark to pitch in and he replies that he doesn't have privleges on base. The chief then instructs the residents to follow Marks instructions.

I always thought it was interesting that a doctor could instruct but not actually do if he didn't have privileges. I always wondered what would happen if one of the residents screwed up and the instructing doctor had to quickly step in
