Maryland governor hogan just came out stating no Syria refugees. |
Another moron. |
So happy about this! Everyone else that wants them, take them in your homes. I am sure some people would have loved to take in the Boston Marathon killers when they were refugees, right? |
Well done Hogan, now we will definitely be safe from all evil. Sigh. Honestly. Clueless. |
You do know that he has no control over this, right? Unless he wants to violate Federal law |
Cynical political posturing at its finest. |
Exactly. Who has a spare room to offer? |
Only an idiot would jump to the conclusion that all refugees are terrorists, especially when basically every single attacker in Paris was a national. Nobody is advocating for taking in KNOWN killers (like the boston bombers). |
Does the President have power over immigration. Can he force states to give them benefits from their tax dollars? Nope. Even your precious "Think Progress" says so: To be clear, states still retain the power to deny their own resources to the federal government, so they could potentially make settlement of refugees more difficult than it would be if the states cooperated. Nevertheless, an act of Congress — the Refugee Act of 1980 — has given Obama broad discretion to allow refugees to be admitted into the United States. The states of Texas, Louisiana and others must yield to that act. The hilarious part to me? That y'all are falling for photos of women and children when the vast majority are young fighting-age men. Add to that that women and children were thrown into the sea on some of those boats, and y'all STILL HAVE EMPATHY. |
Syrian refugee already gone missing in Baton Rouge.
Awww, did one of you benevolent libs take him in? |
Thank you Paula Deen. |
Sigh. Why are conservatives incapable of pausing long enough to think? Or is the problem that Fox has left you incapable of thinking for yourselves. http://theadvocate.com/news/14012129-186/catholic-charities-one-syrian-immigrant |
Did anyone get through Ellis Island with no papers? |
I'll do it as soon as conservatives start signing up for the wars they're calling for and paying higher taxes so we don't add another trillion of debt. |
Actually Ponzi of Ponzi scheme fame snuck in on a train from Canada. He got deported the first time, though. |
