Very possibly, but a large part of it is ego. He is wealthy enough to afford therapy and meds. This is the second time he's rudely walked on stage. He shouldn't be allowed at the Grammy's any more. He needs a time out.

He was joking. He was laughing in the moment. So were folks in the audience. It sounds like you folks on this thread need to lighten up, not Kanye.

You must not have seen his interview after the show with E! He wasn’t joking.

That's not the point. In that moment, he was joking. Even though he felt that way, he was not pissed but rather wanted to jokingly cause a scene. Seriously, you folks are entirely humorless.

So funny that you keep defending him. He clearly misbehaved -- he is not the judge and jury for the Grammys. Has anyone else stormed the stage -- twice -- because he felt that Beyonce didn't win her gazillion +1 award?

Again. IT WAS A JOKE. The Taylor Swift thing was out of line. He was upset and went on a rant. That is not what happened at the Grammys. Did you even watch video showing different angles (where he was laughing with the people around him?).

Hmmm...Why would you assume 50 Cent would kick Kanye's ass? 50 Cent is a businessman. With that comment, you actually revealed yourself to be a bigger asshole than Kanye could ever be.

Why couldn't he keep his ass in his seat and not make it all about him? He was like Anne Hathaway's character in Rachel Getting Married. An embarrassing narcissistic trainwreck.

It was a funny thing to do during a long ass boring show. The audience seemed to welcome the laugh.

His execution was poor, especially in the post-show interview.

Shoulders sideways, smack it, smack it in the air
Smack it, smack it in the air

Beyoncé "7/11"

Why are you posting this twice? And what does the lyrics have to do with anything? No one is arguing that the music is superior to Beck's, but rather the way the album was produced, released, its explosion on the web, etc. Are you being intentionally obtuse?

BTW, post some of Beck's stuff. I don't know his work.

Truth is the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences were pissed at Beyoncé because she surprised the entire music industry by releasing her latest self-titled album only on iTunes first with no warning, no other promotion, no launch parties, no advance radio play, none of the traditional pre-sale retail hype -- she turned the industry upside down in a sense and showed how a true star can break the industry glass ceiling and they didn't like it. Period. Beck didn't deserve that award.

Finally, someone with some sense on this thread. Doesn't matter if you like Beyonce or Kanye. What matters is that the album was groundbreaking. Before she did it, it had never been done. And she did it phenomenally. The Grammys would never reward that sort of thing...would encourage other artists and musicians to get from under the thumb of the immoral music industry.

BTW, music is all about taste levels. I think Beck sucks. And even HE was surprised he won. What kind of sucky ass musician doesn't think enough about his own music that he's surprised he won?!

I think he was being self-deprecating. I would want to start a war with Kanye, he's wealthy and unstable. I also thing when you have a huge team of producers and songwriters on your album it's less remarkable that writing and producing your own stuff, or with a few collaborators.

Nah, during the acceptance he looked dazed and confused as hell. Given what I've heard of Beck's music, writing and producing it is actually a negative, IMO. But hey, different strokes for different folks!

I thought it was great and showed perfect timing! And he was asked about the award going to Beck, so he answered. He didn't just go on a rant (like he did with the Taylor Swift and George Bush thing).

You are confusing the point:

-He jokingly pretended to storm the stage. He, and the surrounding audience including Beyonce, laughed when they realized he was joking.
-He was asked about the win and gave his thoughts.

Two different events. Kanye is Kanye. If he really wanted to give his thoughts during Beck's speech, he would've done it when he went on stage. Call him many things, but bashful is not one of them.

So are they handing out awards for the most creatively produced and released album, or for the best album, I.e. the creative content? If the firmer, the award is not Beyonce's but rather the producers' and the marketers'.

Hmmm...Why would you assume 50 Cent would kick Kanye's ass? 50 Cent is a businessman. With that comment, you actually revealed yourself to be a bigger asshole than Kanye could ever be.

Curtis James Jackson III, known as 50 Cent, was born on July 6, 1975, in the borough of Queens in New York City. After an early life of crime, drugs and violence, he turned to a career as a rapper. He was promoted by hip-hop legends Dr. Dre and Eminem, and he became a star with his debut release, Get Rich or Die Tryin', in 2003. He is considered one of the major figures in early 21st century "gangsta" rap.

He's a Gangsta rapper before anything else-you are the biggest asshole. Perhaps you should hook up with Kanye!

Again, what the FUCK does any of this have to do with your suggestion that 50 Cent would whoop his ass? He's NOW a businessman worth many millions. Why would you think he's still prone to violence? BTW, "gangsta rapper" does not equal hardened criminal.

Kanye is cleearly a wuss-he stole Taylor Swifts "moment"-a white woman, and Becks moment a white man who is anything but tough-He would not dare do this to another thug type rapper black or white as they likely would "whoop" his sorry ass. He would totally deserve it too. Swift should have kicked him in the balls!
