Exactly. OP will move on and find a sensible man one day. Her boyfriend just lost the woman who was trying to help him out and he totally took advantage of the situation. Now, he's just another single, unemployed shlub.

OP, just to reiterate. DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH HIM EVER AGAIN.

Pretty soon, he is going to try to "apologize" and I wouldn't be surprised if he starts crying, and you'll feel bad. Then, if that doesn't work, he will move to threatening to kill himself. You just have to shut that door and bolt it and never open it again.
