Am I the Only One Who Thinks Stitch Fix Sucks?

You wear Kut from the Kloth to Big Law?

The company reviews from employees are... enlightening.

I tried two boxes and didn’t keep a thing. In my profile, I said “no jeans” and “no boho”, I kept getting both.

It’s terrible. Cheap clothes. Now do Nordstrom Trunk Club.

I usually get 2 boxes a year - one in the spring and one in the fall. When I was working I’d do 4 or even 6 boxes a year, but I need fewer clothes now that I’m a SAHM. Anyway, I’ve got surprisingly great stuff that I love and wear all the time that I never would have tried for myself, and stuff where I’m like, wow they have some nerve charging $65 for this Target quality shirt.

You can easily tell when someone is wearing a stich fix box

I had the opposite experience: have been really happy with the styles from Stitch Fix, and everything has been a perfect fit. The stylist at Front Door did a terrible job choosing pieces based on the info I gave—most of it I didn’t even try on. And most of what I did try on was too big. Out of 20 something items (way too many) I kept one. Like another poster noted, I find myself wearing my Stitch Fix stuff all the time.

I thought it was terrible. I tried two boxes. Thought everything was very cheap looking; all polyester tops. Full price; looked like things I would get at TJs or Nordstrom Rack. Maybe if I told them to go up in prices it would have been better, but these were not items I would pay full price for. Very boho; lots of fringe.

I keep holding out hope that my fixes will be good, but they're always horrible. The pricing is ridiculous, the quality of the items you receive is rarely better than I could find at Target, half the time, Target items are better quality. The stylists clearly do not read your requests. I said I don't like crop-tops and tight-fitting low-cut jeans. First fix only crop tops and skinny jeans. I said I don't need shoes or accessories, I get a pair of clogs and a purse. It's like they purposefully give you things you don't want so you won't be able to get the 25% discount when you purchase everything. The kicker is that Style Shuffle - Style For You is ALWAYS on point, but you can't shop those items. I requested my last fix to pull from style shuffle, the first preview was horrible, I removed everything. I then specified items that I really liked from Style Shuffle, get my fix and nothing even remotely like I described. It's seriously frustrating.

I don't do the boxes but do browse the freestyle section on the app. I have gotten some cute trendier items that I like.

As others have said, the quality is terrible. My mother in law bought me a $50 gift card to Stitch Fix, so I used it to by a sweater in their freestyle section. Its pretty cute but I wore it once and it got a hole in it! It cost almost $50, I should be able to wear it more than one time!

Agreed. I tried it again about 6 months ago and requested some wide leg pants and the stylist told me they had NONE. WTF? I also requested mainly natural fabrics because when I did this a few years ago they were sending all this crappy polyester stuff. And they also "didn't have many natural fabric items in their warehouse". I said no to everything when I previewed their first try. Let them send the second try and returned it all. The quality was awful for the price points.

Where do you all do this for nicer clothes? Trunk club is donezo.

I'm thinking about using Trendsend by Evereve now that Trunk Club is no more. Wondering if anyone else has tried it?
