Am I the Only One Who Thinks Stitch Fix Sucks?

Anonymous
I am so not getting what all the Stitch Fix hype is about. Am I the only one? The clothes that stitch fix sent to me were cheap, thin, ugly, short waisted, and were worse quality than stuff I could have bought at Target. All my yuppie and fashionable mom friends swear by this service. What am I missing here? Have had two attempts and not a single well made item! Boden quality is so much better and less expensive!

I'm just trying for the first time because I'm desperate to break out of my rut. I think I look fine but I never try anything outside my comfort zone so I was hoping it would help with that. Has anyone had a good experience?

Really like the concept but haven't tried it yet. Was this your first box?

I want to know too. Anything anyone has ever heard of?

Is it their own brands of clothing?

I've received a lot of items from the brand Hawthorne, Gilli, and Liverpool.

I have two friends that love it but I'm still wary. Someone else on here said they sent some stretchy cheap looking stuff.

If you think about it, they are a business trying to make money and to stay in business they have to have a lot of stock to ship out so the likelihood of you getting some junk in your box is pretty good.

I love it. I have asked for items at a higher price point and have told them that I work for Big Law. They have sent me items from Kut from the Kloth, Marc NY and Level 99 jeans.

I read a few blogs that include pix from stitch fix boxes and I haven't been too impressed.

I did it for four months and cancelled...the quality of the clothes was subpar for the price. I also indicated a higher price point and received items from Kut from the Kloth and Splendid but also plenty of brands that I could easily purchase at Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls, or TJMaxx for a fraction of the cost. I think it's a decent service for someone who hates shopping and doesn't have a great sense for how to put things together.

I will say - it was exciting to get the package each month, even if it was ultimately disappointing!

does anyone know of a higher-end service that carries plus sizes? I've tried Gwynnie Bee, but their stuff is kindof trashy.
