Unexpected pregnancy in my 40s

Having to terminate a pregnancy does not make one "into abortion." There are any number of reasons that people have chosen termination that have nothing to do with inconvenience or slutty behavior. Danger to the mother or horrible genetic abnormality/incompatible with life conditions are the ones that come to my mind and I'm sure there is more. These are usually people who wish they could continue a healthy pregnancy but it just isn't going to be possible, and it is heart-wrenching to have to make this call.

Danger or incompatibility with life is way different than an abortion bc it's inconvenient (like a PP).

I don't disagree that there is a difference in reasoning, but SOME folks see no difference at all because they just don't agree with abortion in any circumstance. It is possible that the OP might have to terminate for the factors you deem OK, but others say "No way, never, it's murder"

Hence, why almost no one ever openly discusses terminating, for WHATEVER reason.

Then tell your friends that you don't have a problem with abortion on grounds of danger or incompatibility with life, but you oppose abortion on grounds of not wanting to have a child under the given circumstances, and then ask them how many of them have had an abortion. I wonder if they will give you an honest answer?
