I don't think that counts as ice cream.

This: http://www.springersicecream.com/ 7-year-old son told me earlier this week that, once we get there, he's going to get butterscotch brickle for his first scoop of the trip. (We're not even going until WEEKS from now.) |
Please. My family is not American and we eat dessert regularly. Ice cream in the summer almost daily. However, we will walk or ride our bikes a mile into town to get dessert and ride home. It's not the dessert that's the problem, although your food has crappy ingredients, it's the fact that Americans drive everywhere. |

We have ice cream in the freezer. We have cones in the pantry. We also have fudgesicles and Edy's popsicles in the freezer. Works for us.
When we're on vacation in the Finger Lakes in upstate NY we go more... like every other night. A small twist (which is huge, BTW) costs $2.50. |
We don't keep dessert in the house (which maybe why we go out for ice cream once a week). So we don't eat that junk at home. |
It's not even made with milk. I wouldn't allow that crap into my body. |
Wow, that's a lot of dessert in your freezer. Are you the family of 4 kids? |
Excess calories are a huge problem in the US. Pun not intended, but I'll keep it. |
| While we are talking about it, Rocky Point Creamery in Point of Rocks MD is awesome! We go there on Sunday afternoons sometimes. It's a nice drive and the kids can play and visit the baby calf. The ice cream is good too. |
I drove through Point of Rocks last weekend after dropping my kid off at camp. I am incredibly sad I didn't know about Rocky Point Creamery.

Go when you pick him up! It's about three miles down from the blue bridge. |
This is a myth. You cannot out-exercise a bad diet. You certainly can't out-walk it. |
Exactly. I'm a PP (that goes out for ice cream 3 or 4 times a year, with the 4 kids...) I run at least 30 miles per week. Right now I'm training for a marathon so it's increased to 40-50 miles per week. I still don't run enough to warrant daily trips to the ice cream shop. |
Where exactly are you people finding "half gallons" in this era? A typical ice cream carton is 1.5 quarts. |
I'm the one who asked. Thanks. We go to the Jersey Shore, so we'll check it out! |
