This though I find it strange to do anything at the ceremony. |
I have always given my daughter flowers at each graduation, as do most of the parents. They also sell individual ones around graduation time for that purpose. Was thinking of flower for my son on suit since they don’t wear graduation gowns, but don’t know if he will wear it lol. No one Is right or wrong. It’s a personal preference.

I've never seen a graduation that had at least 25% of the girls receive flowers.
Of the girls that get flowers, I always hear comments from others that they get flowers all the time. |
How would people see it if you gave it privately without an audience? |
Money lei |
Just have flowers and a nice gift waiting for him in the morning on graduation day. That way you get to have your special moment together before the ceremony to tell him how proud you are of him. The ceremony focus will be friends and pictures. |
I was also wondering what to give my grandson next week at his graduation ceremony, where I'm from lots of girls get flowers at graduation but it's no biggy if one doesn't, but I think I'm gonna get my grandson balloons, it's not necessary, but I'm so proud I gotta do something (at the ceremony) or I'll just burst! Makes for great pics also! Congrats to all the class of 2023! |
Mom of DD and DS, both HS graduates.
I brought nothing to the graduation. This is perhaps for another/the other thread but we were at DAR for DD and I wouldn’t have wanted to carry anything extra inside that venue. |
We'll be at DAR too for DS and I'd imagine specators would be pissed if I walked in their with balloons that could potentially block their view of the stage. Those seats are tight so there would be no where for them to go but up. |
I think the people saying that girls get flowers at graduation are not from DC. Maybe it is regional? This is my 4th kid graduating and I have never seen people getting anything at the graduation ceremony other than hugs!! |
EWWW tacky |
Nothing but a big hug!! My sons wouldn't want to carry around balloons and definitely "no" to the flowers. |
My grandson is graduating tonight. He likes Skittles so I’m getting him a big bag of them. When his sister graduated four years ago she received flowers after the ceremony. |
Some people have allergies. I hate this. It's like wearing perfume |
If your insta followers see you give flowers at home, they will probably think it's photoshopped. Best to give them infront of everyone so the girls can see who got the Biggers, most expensive bouquet and is therefore has more intrinsic value as a person. |
