Do they do balloons?

Dinner at his favorite restaurant. Otherwise, nothing.

That means that balloons floating in the air above people sitting in lower-level rows will be in the line of vision of people sitting in rows behind/above. Please don't do this.

My DS1 graduated from high school 2 years ago. We brought nothing but big smiles and big hugs. Then we went out for a celebration lunch. It was a lovely day.

No balloons or flowers at DAR.

If it at DAR, they are permitted to have one car key and their ID. Nothing else.

For mom to give, a nice card. Nothing inside for a graduation gift. Chances are mom has already done this or will.

This. great idea!

For those asking about leis and not the kind from Oriental Trading, here is one place that ships (for about $39 shipping)a graduation pack from Hawaii: http://www.hawaiiflowerlei.com/section.aspx?pid=graduation3

In Silver Spring, Potomac Floral has leis with 10 days advance order: https://flowerwholesale.com/index.php?route=product/search&description=1&search=lei

Or you can buy orchids blooms and string them yourself. https://flowerwholesale.com/dendrobium-blooms-assorted-color/

First high quality watch, given the morning of graduation. He can wear it for the ceremony.

Nice thought, but unless it's a smart watch, it won't get worn past graduation. No one under the age of 30 wears wristwatches anymore unless they're wired.

In Hawaii, graduates are given flower leis. Boys and girls.

From middle school? I give them food. There is nothing an 8th grade boy likes more than food, so I took him to the restaurant of his choice.

From high school? Nothing in the moment. His high school graduation gifts from me and his grandparents will be college tuition, room and board, a laptop that he doesn't have to share with the family, and lots of other things like extra long sheets, and a plane ticket to get to school. That's plenty, he doesn't need flowers on top of that.

As a parent who doesn't drive, how does that work?

Assuming that everyone has a car seems like an incredibly stupid thing to do.

Why do girls need to be given flowers after every single thing? So extra.

Yes, get the girl flowers!! She will be one of the few that dont have flowers at the end of graduation. The boys I heard you can make Candy Bouquets....I was wondering the same thing about boys tho. I dont wanna steal the Candy bouquet idea from his friends mom....Anything else people give thier sons after they walk off the stage??

+1 pretty much the case. I'm 50 and don't wear a watch either.
