Do they do balloons?

A nice watch.

Dorm supplies if he's going away to college.

A generous gift card to a men's store or, if he drives, a gas station.

A trip to a brothel.

I always give flowers to the girls, but never know what to give to the boys. And yes I have never been to a HS graduation that did not have girls carrying flowers!!!

I'm a HS teacher and have to go to graduation every year. Some families give girls flowers, some don't. Some rush off to dinners, some go straight to graduation parties, others do their own thing. I haven't noticed boys getting anything from family at the ceremony like flowers. Maybe some recover balloons but I've never paid attention. Usually it's crowded and they are trying to find their family, friends and cars afterwards.

Receive balloons, not recover.

Daughter just graduated high school and we did not get flowers. We went out to dinner instead. My Mom wanted to but, we were going to the restaurant directly after the ceremony and the flowers wouldn't have been put in water so they would have died. That's why we skipped the flowers.

Been to many graduation ceremonies, award ceremonies etc and everyone I've ever been too most of the girls are always given flowers afterwards not before. My son is graduating high school tomorrow and was wondering what to give him when ceremony is over also.

Totally was wondering this same thing, as my son is graduating HS this June. I graduated HS in the 2000 and I myself and friends, classmate Girls received flowers at the end of the graduation ceremony. so what I have decided to do is, I've ordered online a graduation shirt that says "Straight Outta Here, class of 2017" and some fog horns. Figured he could whip into the shirt and blow the fog horns and celebrate outside of course after yhe ceremony when family picture time is taking place. It was the only male thing I could think to do that was equivalent to flowers you'd give to a girl, LOL

At our DC's graduation, no one carries anything. They come together on a bus to the graduation site and are only allowed to bring an ID/Driver's license and a car key. Nothing else.

Nothing.

I can't imagine that an 18 year old boy would really care that many of the graduating girls got flowers after the ceremony and he got nothing -- especially if he knows/expects that he is getting a graduation present later.

I think flowers would be appropriate. Then he can hand them off to his mom!
For mom to give, a nice card. Nothing inside for a graduation gift. Chances are mom has already done this or will.

Balloons will float above everyone and be super distracting, especially if everyone starts doing it. Do nothing, or at least something that can be held discreetly on your lap during the ceremony.
