You're hoping that unvaccinated children will die from vaccine-preventable diseases, because that will teach their parents a lesson?

Think about that for a bit, maybe.

New poster here. Of course I would not wish that on anyone's child, but it's Darwinism at work. Weakest do not live long enough to procreate.

You're a moron.

Agree. Plus, the kids that got the measles WHERE VACCINATED ON SCHEDULE.

Signed, person who vaccinated their kids but isn't a psycho like some of the other pro-vacc on this board.

Good GOD. Why on earth don't these people pay the $20. to get vaccinated??!!

Are they THAT stooooopid??!!

Really, the tax is FAR less risky that the disease.

Holy crap.

There may be waning immunity with some adults. In the late 80s, early 90s, there were outbreaks on college campuses and due to the failure of some batches of the vaccine. Not everyone was revaccinated. I was still in high school at the time and the school district required all of us to get another MMR.

It also seems that the second person was not a child.

Then why don't you explain the health reasons? Can you elaborate instead of making drive-by remarks and wasting everyone's time?

NP, but the medical reasons I think are legitimate are things like a serious allergy to a vaccine component or the child or another family member being severely immunocompromised, therefore, cannot receive live vaccines. It would be interesting to see how many non-vaxers have legitimate medical reasons and how many are just non-science believers/crazies. I would imagine that the first group is small, and I really feel for them. The second ground makes my blood boil.

Allergy to vaccine? Bullshit.

I am hugely pro-vaccine. But yes, rarely some people do have allergic reactions to a component in a vaccine. One of the most common is an egg allergy. If you have a severe one, sometimes you cannot get that particular vaccine (although many people with egg allergies can get them).

Do you also think that people with compromised immune systems are hokum? They exist, and some of them can't get vaccines. Do they make the majority of non-vaxxers? I wouldn't think so, but there are legitimate reasons.

But the parents who have to hear lame arse excuses, instead of citizens/residents/excuse makers stepping up, disagree that it is not BS.
