I get ridiculous headaches and feel exhausted every when i eat chipotle. I usually get a burrito with black beans, all salsas, cheese and lettuce some times I'll add chicken as well. This never happens when I consume those ingredients in a home made meal, I eat beans, lettuce, tomatoes, a ton of cheese, corn etc on regular basis without any problems. They must be adding some kind of food additives that are sketchy. I don't think it's the sodium or MSG (unless there is a ton of it) since I'll eat both of those in home made food without issues. Salsas are probably the biggest question mark who knows what kind of stuff the put in it. |
It's the guilt from your engagement in cultural appropriation. |
For me it's the sodium. I have high blood pressure that is normally well controlled with medication. Chipotle spikes my blood pressure and causes headaches matter how careful I try to be. Not sure what they do to their food. It doesn't happen at Moe's. |
After their issues with contamination, they've started having more food prepared off site. It turns out that it's really hard to consistently enforce hygiene standards at thousands of stores. My guess is that they've started adding MSG to the food prepared off site. I'd be particularly suspicious of the salsas. |
Doubt it. More likely the salt. |
Ummmm, that's lime juice... |
Char on meat. |
Char on meat. |
This. Chipotle sends my BP through the roof and gives me an awful headache. This for me is absolutely a salt thing. |
And crazy. |
Each tortilla chip, a microaggression. |
I get a headache and have other noticbale symptoms when I eat s**t also. I don’t eat s**t. |
I have long known that there’s something in Chipotle that gives me a whopping headache. Manufacturers are clever, they’ve made a ton of other names for what amounts to MSG.
http://www.hungryforchange.tv/article/sneaky-names-for-msg-check-your-labels Basically, the FDA says you only have to list MSG as an ingredient if the source is 99% MSG. There is definitely some sneaky form of MSG in their food masquerading as something else. And there’s a lot of it. I can get away with Top Ramen, it’s only when I eat something that has a ton of MSG that I have the following symptoms: I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted and wonder why I haven’t tried said food before, decide I’m eating it every day for the rest of my life, then end up with one of the worst migraines I’ve ever had. Whatever they’ve decided to call it, it’s got a ton of MSG in it. |
Nope. Never.

I only get veggie bowl and have no problems. |
