It is quite likely that someone from Newmyer's camp has been posting here. Look at this thread from 2010, before any of this was public: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/100508.page |
| Newmyer was formerly married to (quintessential DC) PR firm founder Marina Ein. |
I don't get it? These posts aren't exactly favorable to either side - seems like a mix. |
This is true but they divorced in the 80s |
Many of these posts read similarly and share a similar "no one should send their children there," and "this is going to destroy Sidwell's reputation theme. |
Stone cold busted! Good job, admin! |
Who had the knowledge necessary to start the thread in the first place and had the foresight to post from a hotel? |
Yes there is no problem with the school. Everyone move along. |
Which one was posted from a hotel? The original in 2010? Jeff can confirm but it seems like there are a lot of varied posters here. |
| As UGLY as this whole situation is, the ONLY victim is the child. |
Yes, the original post from 2010, which was posted before any of this information was public, was posted from a hotel. |
The newmyer case involves parents of two students, but the evidence in that case suggests harm to others being bullied and hit on by their teachers. |
Let's see what definitively comes out in the trial. |
Why would you expect the full truth about everything going on at Sidwell to come out in a trial of a case involving a particular grievance? Information such as the fact that the defendant reported to his lover that “8th grade girls have been complaining about being hit on by their male P.E. teachers” is totally ancillary to the case. That kind of information might slip out – but we can’t expect the case to put it to rest – in fact, any such reports are likely to be excluded from the trial as prejudicial. |
