The casual treatment of 8th grade girls complaining about their female P.E. teachers hitting on them - right at the time that Sidwell was dealing with a same sex pedophile issue involving an 8th grade teacher is absolutely shocking.

There was no need to quote the statement about the 8th grade girls being hit on by male P.E. teachers. Same with the Sidwell bullying issue.

There are basically using private e-mails of a school official to publicize scandals that had been kept secret.

Their lawyers probably told them this would never get to trial. Lots of reasons: because of a "mandatory" arbitration clause or because the plaintiff would never subject his family to that publicity or because Sidwell doesn't want to cave to a disgruntled parent--on any grounds and set unhelpful precedent. Take your pick.
