Sidwell sex scandal - part II

Anonymous
Quakers are quaking. Two months after the arrest of the teacher for child sex abuse, the school is engulfed in another explosive sex saga involving a long time staffer in key position of trust, and a married parent. It's the new talk of the town. A group of concerned parents has been meeting quietly because the talk among the Lower School children of this hot duo is really troubling. How can we notify parents who wish to be aware while maintaining anonymity? What's next-condoms as party favors at the school auction?

Details please?

April Fools was last week. And the idea that PreK-4th graders are abuzz over a relationship between a parent and an administrator seems pretty damned unlikely. Unless their gossipy parents have been asking them to check it out and provide details.

Even if this is true, it's not exactly on the level of criminal behavior. We've got two adults here. (It's hard to believe this is true. What are they doing, making out in the halls while students go outside to play?)

A Sidwell parent cavorting with *staff*??? I don't think so.

The only situation this is even plausible is the parent of an applicant, with an admissions director. It rises to the level of probable if the applicant is on the waitlist.

Thanks for the helpful tip on admissions. I have a 3 yo and am planning on applying. My SIL is, too, and b/c she's highly competitive, I'm starting Botox treatments shortly before the admission's process begins.

So if another scandal hits the news . . .

That anyone could compare this to a pedophile is really offensive.

People should really mind their own business and get a life.

And I'm sure both families appreciate their friends blabbing to you and you posting this on the internet!

Yes. Not to mention 30k tuition should imply good
administrative conduct. At least, you certainly hope for that...

How about tying some sort of ethical standards to the people 'reporting" this on the internet.

Sheesh.

This is a boring thread. Yawn.

I've removed two messages from this thread that identified the position held by one of the individuals allegedly involved. I want to caution everyone against abusing the privilege of posting anonymously. Using that privilege to invade someone else's privacy is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Moreover, if you do not respect others' privacy, I will feel no responsibility to respect yours. So, do not engage in gossip-mongering if you are not interested in being exposed as a gossip monger.

Edit: I've removed a few others that identified the children's grade levels.
