Smoking question

The PP expressed her out-sized anger reaction to litter. My initial comment was that it is certainly an irritation, but shouldn't rise to the level of anger. I'm not making excuses for litter, there's a good reason that there's a fine for littering. However, either her priorities are seriously off or she has an anger management problem. Again, if litter makes her that angry, then life is going to be long and hard for her.

As for you, you are tossing wild accusations about which make no sense at all. I don't smoke (which I made clear), I don't litter, and I don't expect anyone to pick up after me; I can't imagine what you think I'm entitling myself to. Apparently your impulse control switch is broken.

Oh, sweetie, I can assure you (as one of the original angry posters) that my life is not hard. But given how willfully stupid you are, yours certainly will be, although I suppose you probably won't notice it from up on your fluffy cloud of rainbows and unicorns. I think my priorities probably are wrong, given how much I want to keep baiting you on this topic to get more and more condescending, inane posts from you, but I think I'll stop here.

I agree with OP that smokers I know wouldn't litter in any other way, but think tossing a butt is ok. It's not.

My friends who smoke in Japan are way cooler about it -- they carry around little ashtrays so they don't litter (I think that litter laws are stricter there). It's super considerate, good for the environment, and easy for them to do.

If you smoke, maybe you can consider getting one of these? It's something like www.pocket-ashtrays.com (they don't look exactly like the ones in Japan, but they are close). Then you can stop littering, not worry about fires, and not mess up your car.

I think 11:54 is a highschool student playing a prank on DCUM.

What with filling the air around them with toxins, poisoning themselves and others breathing it in, filling a landfill with ciggie butts over their shortened lifespans--I don't think ENVIRONMENTALISM is very high on the list of any smoker. Not to mention at $5 a pack they're broke AND stupid.

Gibberish. Claiming that someone or something is willfully stupid without providing evidence is just name-calling.

Your rhetorical skills are non-existent.

No, spoken like someone who is sane.

Your anger management system breaks down at the sight of litter. I hope you don't drive. If you got cut-off on the freeway, you would be an extremely dangerous person.

I'm the PP you're quoting and what gave you the impression that my anger management system breaks down because I called you an entitled asshole, which you are. I'm not the other poster you think is so angry, but who is rightfully pointing out to entitled pricks like yourself that when you toss something on the ground, you are saying, "hey, someone else, pick up my garbage. I'm too good for such mundane tasks as dealing with my own filth. You, over there, pick it up."
Again, you're an asshole if you think that's OK. Who do you think picks up your filth? Or have you never even stooped to the level of thinking about it?

Your reading comprehension is very poor.

Hilarious!

And this is why I'm addicted to DCUM.
