Which School Has the Bigger Perception Problem - Landon or Sidwell?

I do not have a DC at Sidwell or Landon. MY DC's are in their upper teens. I have head and read enough to state I would pay for Landon for a DC and would not pay for Sidwell for a DD or DS. That is based on actual knowledge not gossip or unaware posters on these forums. |

Are you really that stupid? You're citing Sidwell's participation at the Congressional Baseball Classic as evidence that Sidwell sports is relevant? LOL. The teams invited are DC teams only, so a team like Landon is never going to participate. STA won it three years in a row, so they are giving some other schools a chance. Sidwell got pounded by St. John's - do you really think Sidwell got picked OVER St. John's? LOL. Thanks for confirming that Sidwell parents are clueless concerning athletics. |

this is the kind of of post that just gets me. Calling people stupid. Calling a sports program that incidently beat both Landon and STA in baseball this year irrelevant.
It was an unfortunate comment from Sidwell booster sure, but it didn't go out of its way to demean anyone else. It's kind of why i always end thinking people who post mean spirited attacks on other schools diminish themselves more than the target of their sputum. |

Sidwell does not play Landon in Varsity or JV Baseball since they are in different conferences for HS Baseball. St Albans played Sidwell because of the DC Classic. The only Sidwell team that played Landon in Baseball was the 8th grade team. Landon won 2-0. |

Sidwell and Landon played in Florida this spring and split a double header. Ask the team.
Who ever you are, the facts, are facts. You may not like them but the Varsity Sidwell baseball team beat both Landon and STA. No big deal. It's just you should temper your comments on this board. You don't need to call people stupid and dismiss sports programs when you are not fully informed. |

Sidwell split the Florida double header winning the first game 7-4 and losing the second game in extra innings 15-14.
The Sidwell-STA score was 9-7. |

I am not the same person who said people are stupid so please don't assume things. In looking at the schedule on the Landon website, there is no mention of the teams that Landon played in Florida. Since it is spring training, it sounds like you are taking a little more seriously than they do. Sorry for not knowing. |

| If you look at my comment, you will see that I wrote ``no big deal'' because I don't really care about the baseball records of the various teams. What I do care about is someone calling someone ``stupid'' and a whole group of parents is ``clueless.'' It's just the kind of thing that reflects poorly on the poster and his/her community in an unnecessary way. |

It is also reflecting badly on you as you seem to be so defensive about Sidwell and sports. All the schools have positive and negative things about their schools. What gets people so in a lather on this website is that the Sidwell community is more than happy to tell everyone how perfect their school is but when the not so perfect things are pointed out then all the Sidwell posters do is try to cut every other school down too. |
