Is the new transmission line only for data centers or part of badly needed upgrade that has been repeatedly delayed for decades?

Data centers don't discharge nitrates. Try looking at the farms in the area.

It’s awesome having these data centers in VA. Virtually no lag living in this area. Like being piped right into the heart of the internet. And for VA it’s either block after block of car dealerships or data centers. Think it’s a good mix.

Our totally worthless governor of Maryland can't help us.

Why on earth aren't the companies themselves paying for these data centers? Why are the taxpayers responsible? Insanity.

Do you live right next to one? No? Didn't think so.

Why doesn't Musk et al build these things in space? No one wants them in their neighborhood, anywhere.

Do you have to live right next to a metro station to benefit from it? 🙄🙄🙄

Way to miss the point entirely. Deliberately, I'm sure. NO ONE wants to live next to a data center.

No one wants to live right next to a metro station with trains coming and going constantly.

Actually, I live about 300 feet from a metro station, and the noise is nonexistent. Metro trains are not loud at all; I don't hear anything. Try it yourself; walk a few hundred feet away from one of the above-ground stations, and you'll hear nothing. And it's beyond wonderful to have such an easy commute. There's a reason it's so desirable to be close to a metro station.
