Is this like a manual epilator? Those things hurt so much...I remember my mom had one.

Waxing creates wrinkles around the mouth (particularly above the lip).

I used to wax my lip but it always made me break out a few days after from the “trauma.” I used the Nair made for facial hair recently and it was amazing. Painless and doesn’t leave any irritation. Tempted to get the normal version and try it for my legs now too!

+1
I have one of those things the PP is talking about and I occasionally use it - but it hurts SO MUCH on the upper lip area. Doesn't hurt nearly as much on the cheeks, chin, etc.

My 14-year old just got it waxed. Esthetician recommended that. Happy.

Of course she wznts to fix it.

Only a hairless woman would need to ask this question.

yes, say something to her and help her with the options

has a very fine layer of hair on her upper lip. She is about to turn 15. I would like to help her but I’ve never had this issue myself and I’m not that good at beauty stuff. Can somebody tell me what to do as specifically as possible? Bleach? Wax? At home? Where?

At 14 she needs to be taken to a dr to get her hormones checked. This is not normal.

Are you insane? This is perfectly normal.

very normal and as her mom, please help her with it. i have always just used tweezers

No it doesn't.

You must not have much hair if you use tweezers.

I just tried the Athena Club wax strips that this Allure article recommends. So quick and easy.

Do not bleach it. She will just have a different colored mustache. Kids will tease her.
Get the dermaplaning razors. Waxing might be irritating.

I’m in my 50s, and everyone I know who waxed for decades has weird wrinkles around their mouths.

I never waxed, and I don’t have these wrinkles.

If you are young and haven’t noticed this, give it some time.

Agree. I’d use a dermaplane or the flawless finishing tool for now. When she is up to it- get laser hair removal.

Get it lasered! Don't shave or wax. It will only get thicker. It is worth the investment.

My incredibly thick for a woman mustache was blonde so I did electrolysis. Painful but worth it. Laser can grow back in some cases FYI.
