How do men compliment their wives these days?

My DH has always been bad at compliments. He makes random statements and "means" them as compliments. "You look really tanned today" This one's old because I no longer try to tan lol. "Your hair is really curly today" after I curled it. I try to find the compliment in what he says but even those have gotten fewer.

If I put on makeup and straighten my hair I get "wow, look at you" with the wiggling eyebrows. That's about it.

He is not my husband, but my boyfriend convincingly tells me I’m beautiful, smart, and an amazing mother all the time. I am spoiled.
