Is Purdue a safety for high stats kids?

Not necessarily. Good for engineering lots of competition. Univ of IL UC a good option for Engineering if looking for other schools.

Purdue is a top 10 engineering school and top 20 or higher in computer science. I would not consider them a safety in those areas.

I’m sorry to hear that your DC is in a bad place mentally. Top heavy lists that are mostly reaches can really make kids feel awful. The kids say they know it is a long shot, but when the rejections start rolling in one after another, it is HARD.
