EA decisions coming up

DD will hear from Purdue, Michigan, UIUC, NCState, Wisconsin, and possibly VT and UVA in the next couple of weeks. So much attention at school has been on ED, but here we go. Anyone else's senior nervous/excited? I expect lots of deferrals given past history.

Anyone have good dates for these?

American: mid-late Jan
Indiana: by Jan 15
CU-Boulder: by mid-late Jan
Michigan: likely Jan 23 (or thereabouts)
Illinois: Jan 30
Wisconsin: on or near Jan 30
Maryland: by Feb 1

Got an essay person to look at LOCI. Assume we have a few so had kid draft last week in advance to use as a template with a good hook/story - esp bc the early apps weren't as strong as the RD ones when the writing really developed.

EA2 ( for OOS apps). Last cycle it was an 8% acceptance rate for EA2 and this cycle they are up even more in application numbers.

Senior year is about halfway over and here are seniors having to worry and on nerves. Hope they get to cherish these last few months of high school and PreK-12 childhood. Thoughts to all.

Honestly, my kid doesn’t seem stressed at all. They’re already into a safety and a target that they’ll be happy to attend. First semester is just about over and they seem to poised to really enjoy the next few months. Once all the application deadlines passed, it’s like a huge weight off the shoulders. Out of their control now.

Yep, waiting for UVA, Indiana Kelley, and USC. I am curious how Kelley will go since it’s holistic this year.
