That would be nice! Unfortunately, my DD can’t relax and is very much on edge. I keep trying to find relaxing things to do together on weekends to give her a break. |
| Anxiously waiting for UVA ! |
Four or six students already got in from one high school. Do you think they'll take anymore from same place? |
Of course they will. |
Yes! They take 30-40 from our NOVA public each year. |
| Waiting for UT Austin and UNC. |
OOS? |
| Waiting on Richmond EA decision. |
I read in a college FB group that a poster heard from VT's admissions that they're aiming to release by end of Jan. - just a mom and no one in the actual know |
| Waiting on Oberlin and College of Wooster later this week. |
| Waiting on Northeastern (and expecting a no). DD's in at her first choice but would definitely take a second look at NE if admitted. |
American will be this Thursday: Jan. 15th. |

If your DC applied EA to USC (which will likely come out this Friday 1/16 or next Friday 1/23), prepare them for a deferral to RD round.
USC defers roughly 90% of applicants who apply EA. They only accept a few (top 8-9% of EA applicants) who they will will award merit for. It's hard to be in this very high stats group that gets merit. Of the remaining 90-ish% that are deferred to RD round, another 10% will eventually get accepted. Also note: follow the directions USC sends with the deferral, they hate when you don't read them. They do NOT want a LOCI or anything other than their digital form that you'd still like to be considered in RD and haven't accepted another offer ED or EA. Just fill that out and send nothing other than the mid-year transcript. Don't send a letter or any other updates other than the transcript. |
My kid admitted to UT Austin OOS and Georgia Tech OOS last cycle. We toured both and we loved both. He chose Georgia Tech at the end for Engineering. Good luck! |
| Yes, anxiously waiting for a ton here. UVA, Florida, UNC, UT Austin, USC, IU Kelley, Wisconsin & Michigan. Expecting a ton of deferrals. |
