| 420k. We both work from home at jobs we enjoy with flexible schedules. Two tweens. I feel fortunate. |

~$228k
Mid 50s. We don’t work in jobs that have bonuses. |
Did you bank the gains or just paper $? |
| Rich people Flexing here. And the racist Elon Musk wants you to believe White people are disadvantaged in this country. Alright that was inappropriate Joke 😂 |
| Black couple here. Total of 380 split almost even but wife makes slightly more. Wife to make some bonus money to take it closer to 400k. Lawyer/ doctor couple but both in more primary care / government jobs so good lifestyle. |
Haha I am op and I am not white. |
HUGE (for us), over $1M because DH got laid off and there was a large severance. Don’t worry he’s been looking for a job (unsuccessfully) for almost a year, even though he’s willing to take $100k a year. No one wants a 50 year old. So we’re kinda screwed. |
+1 We have to see how the business performed in Q4. |
| My Uber driver today said that his wife makes “really good money” as a daycare provider but that so many of the kids’ parents have lost their jobs that they are down 4 kids out of their limit of ten because “everyone’s home now” |
| Three fiddy. No family support or inheritance, I'm a full time girl scout, but my cousin is the loch ness monster. |
| 2.5 inches, and a bonus inch. Which seems bigger than most posters here. |
Very true and this is the case for my job where I think i will graze just about 400k this year. I’m well aware of my precarious situation and am extremely conservative. Best case scenario, Inwill retire with a minutiae of money. Worst case scenario i will stop working at 48(now) and still live well due to savings. However, my DH is a different story. He makes about 350-400k/yr and constantly has recruiters banging down his door. When he job hunts he always has his choice of jobs, only time he leaves a company is due to culture or i’d he no longer believes in the technology. Last job switch he did he had 3 offers before he even resigned from his company. He’s a sales engineer (technical person who understands products and technology). |

DH and I should round out 2025 with an HHI of about $975K, $350K of that is a bonus payment from the previous year. We are 30 and 32yo. DH is co-founder and CSO for a pre-IPO tech startup.
Overall NW is up $2.4M total in 2025 due to payments on low interest mortgage, unrealized taxable gains in brokerage, and realized gains in tax sheltered retirement, HSA, and 529 plan accounts. |
| We're early retired and took Social Security early as well. Our income this year will be around $160k, consisting entirely of SS, rental income, and long term capital gains. We will owe zero federal income tax because of how we structure our income. |
