What will your HHI be this year?

I don't know. Salary/wages about 260k. Other income (cap gains, rent from a house we rent out, etc) maybe another 70K? I'm really not sure. I'll know once our taxes are done and dusted.

Lol. I love this ^^.

Ours is $270k, evenly split between DH and myself.

If you have a decent amount of comp in a bonus -- you might not know.

If you have income from a lot of sources that are not wages -- you might not know, or at least might not have thought about it and added it up until you have to.

Ok. But how much you earn tends to be pretty important with regard to how much you "have."

You’ll learn when you’re an adult

My DH’s bonus was higher than his salary for many years. I disliked it because there was always some level of uncertainty.

Do most people here get bonuses in December? Both mine and DWs are paid in March based on prior year results.

Hey, I am an adult. I just turned 48.

Probably $250-$270K. Less than last year, but that’s ok. I’m self-employed so my income varies. I think it’ll pick up Q1 2026.

HHI around $300k. Bonus of $10k due to tough year - about 25% of typical bonus.

Mine has to be paid by 12/31 because we are an SCorp. If you are in a partnership you can pay out later.

My base is around $200, bonus will be around $250, and profit split around $750. But we pay the profit split quarterly so it’s not all deferred. So $1.2m. Not sure what DH will make, maybe $200k.

$81k, including salary and rental income. No bonus.

Depends on when your company’s fiscal year ends. Not everyone runs a calendar year.
