Still don't see anything where the posted is claiming to have a right to anything. Perhaps you're the one who is confused? |
That’s why posters like this claim OP is a troll. They really don’t like to discuss this topic. I find it fascinating when people become creative in justifying opacity. |
| Private K-12s don’t take federal money, so they are not required to comply with Title VI. They don’t owe you anything at all, unlike Harvard, which does have to comply with Title VI. |
you simply are not entitled to that. and if what this is really about is race, I think you would find that the try to to help minorities get admitted, not to hurt them. is there an elite private school in the DMV that you think systematically excludes minorities? I highly doubt it. |
The best policy is not always transparency because they don’t promise to use some objective criteria that you can measure. No one is trying to save you time, you don’t need to apply at all if you don’t want to waste your time. If you don’t like the admissions policies of a school please don’t apply. |
My family has been accepted to every top school we’ve ever applied to, so really we’re winning. Keep trolling, OP! |
If they were required to comply with Title VI it wouldn’t matter if the races being hurt were minority races or white kids. But they aren’t so they can do whatever they want. |

Yes, because schools are immune to influence of wealth and political connections, right ? |
With an opaque system I am not surprised. Maybe in an open and transparent system that wouldn’t happen. Is that te reason you don’t like this topic? |
If you have rights, you don’t have to request them. What are you asking for? |
Sarcasm alert! Of course they are influenced by wealth and political connections, that’s the point! I’m not spending $60k per year per child to send my kids to a school that accepts everyone. |
Got it, so a more open and transparent system is less prone to influence from the wealthy and politically connected, right ? |
|
Oh OP, from the POV of the schools, the system is working almost perfectly and they have no interest in helping you feel better by providing hard data about acceptances.
