Great. We talk about teens in a different part of this site. This thread is about adults who have partners.

19 is an adult, and neither being an adult nor having a partner will magically inoculate you against the major mental and digestion side effects pp's son experienced. Shit happens to adults with partners, too.

Well this thread is about couples so start your own. I am a grown up who is perfectly aware of what I’m doing

Okay, clownshoes. Good luck with your drug use.

😂😂😂😂I think you would greatly benefit from an edible.

Nobody benefits from unregulated drug use. The only people who even think that's possible are drug users.

It’s funny how you think anyone cares about what you think. Just don’t do edibles. Don’t worry your head about what I’m doing. I’m very successful and have a wonderful family. Please don’t worry about my drug use 🙄🙄🙄

No we're grown adults who don't rely on drugs to function.

And yet, you don't seem to understand the purpose and concept of what happens when you post personal stories on the internet.

It’s funny. I’m a very successful person: financially and in terms of athletic pursuits. I’m super type an and find it hard to sit still. It used to be really hard on mei use THC to DIS-function for a bit. To sit on the couch and not worry about being hyper productive and efficient for a couple of hours.

That said tons of people take legal drugs to function academically, sexually, performance wise, or to have their kidneys or heart actually function. I live in a rec legal state but also have a med card. It’s an inexpensive and non harmful way to kick back, for an ultra motivated person. It’s why I love it.

Oh I absolutely do. You don’t seem to know where to post them though.

STFU about your drug use then. And yeah, I'm gonna worry about it because you don't have the sense to understand what you're getting into, which means you're a liability for those around you when you're still high but don't realize it, or think you can drive high (or that you drive better high, even), or whatever other ridiculous drug-user logic you get up to.

If you want to live in a bubble, stay in your bubble. You're the one posting your whole ass publicly, squeaks.

Yeah, sure. It's harmless. If you were half as smart as you think, you'd go looking for recent studies on the effects of long-term cannabis use, how little it takes to get addicted (especially with extracts and concentrates, like you get in your "gummies"), and what that addiction looks like when it manifests. You seem to think that you don't have a problem because you're not a sloppy mess like a falling-down drunk might be.

The first rule of responsible drug use has always been: Know your drugs. You clearly don't. It's not harmless, and you're not the exception somehow.

Also? Learn to meditate. Needing drugs to just be yourself on your own couch is a character defect, not a flex.

Yeah, I used to have a med card from "my doctor" too. You're playing yourself. No responsible clinician is telling patients to get high to get sleep, for the same reason no responsible clinician would tell you to just pop a benzo or drink a few glasses of wine to get sleep. That's irresponsible af.

That some NP with a few CEUs in cannabis "education" did your 5-minute zoom interview and stamped your paperwork doesn't mean you have reputable medicine on your side of this non-argument. Long-term cannabis use is dangerous, short-term cannabis use can be dangerous (especially depending on what you use), and you probably won't realize you have a problem until you have a "damn, I can't quit"-level problem.

Good luck.

I don’t need a medical marijuana card—it’s fully legal here and I walked into a store and selected what I wanted. I don’t think taking half a gummy once a week is going to drive me to reefer madness, but thanks for your concern. And get your smelling salts—my doc (an MD not an NP) also gave me a prescription for Xanax. He knows I use them sparingly so isn’t concerned.

These people simply refuse to read and believe that so many of us use this responsibly. Just like many people drink responsibly. Not everyone who consumes alcohol is an alcoholic. Not everyone who uses weed is a druggie. They are such black and white thinkers.

It’s fully legal here too (Colorado) but you save about 30% by having your med card here, so it’s been worth it for me. You can also get much stronger gummies (think, 1000 MG THC chocolate bars) vs 100 mg. Just more efficient.

PP, I don’t think I’m all that smart. But I do know that it’s been a positive for me. Have you ever tried THC, OP? Like everything we create informed opinions with knowledge and experience- what’s been your experience to make you so hatefully negative towards those who use this legal drug vs other legal drugs.

*psychedelics including ayahuasca and bufo and mushrooms, MDMA and ketamine are now widely used (legally) as well

Cool. I'm sure the addictive substances won't be addictive for you because your doctor wrote their name on a slip of paper. Unlike all those other people who are drug addicts. But not you. Could never be you.

I start every day with a dab (concentrate). Makes me a better parent. I dose throughout the day either through my pen or the rig depending on availability and responsibilities that day. Edibles make me too high. Straight weed makes me too high also, but it's what my neighbors/friends do so I'll smoke a joint with them.

I am in my 30s, I've been doing it since I was 18, with a medical card. No need for a med card now though. Nobody notices I do it, my brain feels normal on it. I have ADHD and cPTSD.
