Do you or partner use edibles?

I take gummies for sleep once in a while. It took a little tinkering to get the amount right, but now I’ve got it down.

Because you fall for snake oil gimmicks and it makes your partner think less of you?

This.

And I also judge people for falling for beauty and other money wasing gimmicks. So, yeah, if DH were this stupid it would cause problems. I actually have less of a problem with alcohol, because it's legal. If smoking pot were totally legal, I'd have less of a problem with that. It would bother me for health reasons, just like alcohol.

Fyi, it is totally legal in some states.

I'm not commenting on whether it is good or a "money wasing gimmick" - I agree there are health reasons to consider - but it is now legal as alcohol in many states.

I do, yes. I enjoy THC a lot. I don’t drink alcohol it makes me anxious. Here in Colorado it’s legal and has been for so long I forget that people back there still consider it “that devil weed”. I feel that way about alcohol though- so I get it and honor your feelings. That said I’m glad it’s a legal option for people like me who enjoy it recreationally.

Nobody gets high and beats their wife or flies into drunken rage’s or tries to hold desperately onto a relationship with alcohol that isn’t serving them. I’m glad alcohol sober is such a rising trend out west.

No. My partner is former military and now has a private sector security clearance job. So, he cannot. And I have zero interest in them. His ex did use edibles and smoked it as well. That is at least partly why she's now the ex.

Of course not.

Just be out and proud! You're getting high. Whether you have a gigantic bong on the coffee table or not.

Why do you care what we call it? We are adults consuming a perfectly legal substance just like your Chardonnay. Do you also lecture whose who refer to their wine glasses as mommy’s cup? I don’t actually care that they do. I drink wine too.

If edibles are not for you, just don’t eat any. The rest of us are doing just fine.

It’s a drug. I own it. So is alcohol. I do not consider myself a “druggie” but if you consider me one, idgaf.

It’s relaxing and fun and I don’t really see why some of you are so cranky about it. Maybe you need an edible.

Exactly. These endless, dumb threads are not convincing anyone. The vast majority of us are in middle age, successful, have great families and don’t GAF that some harpie thinks my occasional gummy is a problem.

I'm not worried about it being laced wiht angel dust or something, but I tried it a number of times—would order for the same place, same "brand", same quantity, and it was insanely varied how much THC was in it.

One time, one gummy would knock me out. The next time, one gummy wouldn't do anything. The next time, one gummy would do nothing for 90 minutes and then leave me crawling on the floor.

None of it was relaxing.

This. It is totally unregulated even where legal. Blows my mind.

All you have to do is not consume any. It’s that simple.

NP. I find all the cutesy names dumb and since you asked, I’m telling you on the internet. I do not tell people in real life that they sound stupid using these terms but they do.

Americans think alcohol is H-E-A-L-T-H-I-E-R lmao

Alcohol is so bad even an occasional drink can hurt you. But good luck finding a social event that does not involve alcohol. Crazy

Yes, we occasionally take THC gunnies for just chilling out and sex. They make sex really good.

People get high and become completely psychotic, so it's not as innocuous as you seem to think. And while the fallout may not be as immediate or obvious, there are plenty of people who realize a little too late that they're addicted to cannabis, and really struggle to quit. So yeah, they do "hold desperately onto a relationship" with cannabis that isn't serving them or those around them.

Is that what the D.A.R.E. instructor told you back in Akron in 1988?
