Just be out and proud! You're getting high. Whether you have a gigantic bong on the coffee table or not.

Why do you care what we call it? We are adults consuming a perfectly legal substance just like your Chardonnay. Do you also lecture whose who refer to their wine glasses as mommy’s cup? I don’t actually care that they do. I drink wine too.

If edibles are not for you, just don’t eat any. The rest of us are doing just fine.

Why are you afraid to say you are getting high and taking drugs, though? I don't "care" like I care about democracy or something. I find it amusing that people like you hope to hide your drug habits in euphemisms to sanitize it.

Who says I hide it? I've said upthread I get high the same way I get drunk. I couldn't care less if people say pop a gummy, drink mommy juice or any other euphemism they want to use. Why do you care what terminology people use? Is it because you aim to show us the error of our ways?

I told you, I don't "care." I find it annoying when people try to hide their drug habits.

If you (not you -- we all understand you're really proud of your 'partaking') aren't embarrassed by drug use, why try to santize the language to cloak the fact that you're taking legal psychoative drugs?

I use them almost daily to tolerate my spouse. They don’t know.

But who is hiding it? I'm almost certain that you know exactly what people mean by saying "pop a gummy." According to you they should use the language that would signal to you that they know they are doing something you don't approve of such as "getting high." I would also venture to say you care quite a bit since you keep coming back to tell me how much you don't care.

I'm an adult, doing something perfectly legal and it doesn't concern you one bit.

Great. We talk about teens in a different part of this site. This thread is about adults who have partners.

19 is an adult, and neither being an adult nor having a partner will magically inoculate you against the major mental and digestion side effects pp's son experienced. Shit happens to adults with partners, too.

Nobody benefits from unregulated drug use. The only people who even think that's possible are drug users.
