They don’t believe in or prohibit abortions, and contraception is not readily available. Some states in the USA will witness this same phenomenon of excess births by year 2030ish.

Don't have intercourse then if they don't want kids. Not that difficult.

You are far too ignorant to talk about reproductive healthcare.

Probably too ignorant to talk about most topics.

This PP is being facetious not serious in case you couldn't tell, nasty responder.

But in all seriousness, high birthrates are at the center of a lot of problems in poor underdeveloped nations. I don't understand why governments don't push birth control. Excess poor people = exploited labor force. In the case of Latin America excess poor people has contributed to mass illegal immigration to the U.S.

No, that is a serious response from idiotic RWNJs.

Why no birth control? Misogyny. Religion.

Compared to Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos who donate very little, he’s a saint and I will sleep better tonight knowing that fewer children will die of hunger due to his donation.

You sound like a ghoul.

Africa's population has increased tenfold since 1900 and now stands at over 1.4 billion. The population of Africa is projected to reach close to 2.5 billion by 2050 and could reach 3.2 billion by 2070. Unless he’s sending birth control that money is being wasted.

The birth rate in Latin America is under control, it’s actually below replacement rate at this point.

DP: Not even remotely similar. Tax money you owe was never really yours. You can do what you want with your after tax money, just like Bill. Donate it.

LMAO. That's a new take on the propaganda. Funny.

Hasn't he learned from the mistakes of countless others who donated to Africa only to have the money disappear into a black hole by corrupt politicians and warlords?

He’s smart enough to arrange his money to keep it away from corruption. And the US is not free from wealthy people or people working at certain organizations stealing charity money.

I am very involved with a charity in east Africa and visit there every year. You get at least 10 times the value for a dollar contributed than in the US. The poverty is far beyond anything in the US and for many, medical care is non existent. Yes, graft and corruption exist, as it does in the US, but Gates is smart enough to work directly with qualified NGOs and not just handing money to a government.

Weird.

Hope he thought of the terms and has some intelligent people with accountability measures in place to dish it out over time.

It won’t accomplish anything longstanding.
