He has pledged $200 billion. Isn't it insane that an American billionaire would do this while we have so many issues here? Hasn't he learned from the mistakes of countless others who donated to Africa only to have the money disappear into a black hole by corrupt politicians and warlords?

If ever you could trust anyone to effect change with their wealth, it would be Bill Gates.

Please have some respect. I dislike and prefer not to use Microsoft products, but the man, his wife and their money have saved millions of lives and will save millions more.

Also there is an enormous amount of money in this country. That's really not the issue.
