RFK will require placebo controlled trials for vaccines

I respect Paul Offitt. He quit the covid approval board (or whatever it was called) because he didn't think there was a need for boosters when most Americans had not even received their first covid shots. He also said there is such a thing as overvaccination, and he worried that too many booster shots for covid would do just that. He did develop the rotavirus vax, and he's very pro-vaccine, not a neutral arbiter, but I think he's a scientist first, and I admire that.

He helped develop I believe the rotovirus vaccine. While I assume at this point he doesn't have an ongoing, direct financial stake in the vaccine's continued availability, I would think, just as an obvious matter of human psychology, that, if there were a serious safety issue, he'd have every reason in the world to doubt it and hope it's wrong.

Well, if you think he's wrong, then surely you'll be onboard with his proposed regulatory reform-- after all, he's falsely saying it's not already the law!

So you think only vaccine experts who have … never developed a vaccine … should be listened to? Plus I think Offit understands better than most the issues with vaccines since the first Rotavirus vax was pulled due to serious side effects.
