Someone posted earlier. Starting raising funds. I would give money for this. |
The current of the SAFE act leaves some of the administration/acceptable ID up to the states. Again, this is going to be a shock to the red state voters where they will end up with some of the strictest requirements. |
Dem women did step up. They've protested, call their representatives and are speaking out through various avenues. Repugnant women think they are insulated and not "those women" that this affects. |
Why do I care if Texas decides not to accept a bunch of forms of ID and makes it harder to vote? |
Exactly. Who cares? |
My highly educated lefty girlfriends are all in the city and have one kid between them. I haven’t most of seen them in years. Out in our more pro-MAGA community, women are starting to embrace some radical ideas about diminishing women’s rights. And they have more kids! |
Ahhh, women... Can't live with 'em, can't live with 'em. |
I posted on the other thread that stupid people should be allowed to vote. I don’t believe in disenfranchisement. I’m never going to say this is worthwhile, even if it garners more Dem votes. Dems are better than MAGA/GOP. Our policies are popular. We don’t need to screw people over to win. |
I am getting married next month, and I am not changing my name.
I don't want that barrier if the SAVE act does pass. Several of my female friends who are getting married in the coming months are doing the same - no name changes. Other than that, and reaching out to my politicians, I am being mindful of where I spend my money. We aren't vacationing in any red states this year. I'm also a decision maker at work for where we host our big company events (conferences, trainings, etc.), and all red states are out. We used to be comfortable with blue cities within red states (Nashville, Tampa, etc.) but this year and for the foreseeable future, we've gone a full ban on red states. |
If we could avoid being duped into nominating 80 year old clowns and instead nominate the Obama/Clinton types, we'd never lose to the pathetic Trump era GOP. |
Interesting. Trump ran against a 60yo. But we have fascism because you and others didn’t like the sound of her laugh. But, I know you insist we didn’t nominate her, we only voted for her for VP. I’ll be waiting for more pretzel logic. |
But if Texans want these policies, who are we to deny them that right? |
Because as of today we are the United States of America. We have rights guaranteed as part of that. |
And some of us actually lived here when — wait for it — tanks rolled into the city. Troll better. Or at least do some actual research first. |
Think a little harder. That 60 yr old was a last minute replacement nominee of a very unpopular elderly incumbent who had his campaign for a second term collapse on him just a few months prior to Election Day. The incumbent party loses 100 times out of 100 in this situation; even against an opponent as weak as Trump. You can try all you want to point fingers at Harris but the 2024 campaign debacle was 100% the fault of Biden and the idiots that supported his nomination in 2020. |
