NP. I am afraid but I’m equally afraid of the Democrats so I genuinely don’t know what to do.

Why are you afraid of the Democrats? Do you think they’re going to force you to do recycling and composting? Sing Kumbayah in a multicultural circle? What are your concerns here?

Democrats have fully embraced a wildly misogynist belief system that explicitly privileges men. Gender ideology has seeped into everything the Democrats promote and it is shockingly misogynist. I don’t see how I can trust a political party that has reduced me to body parts and regressive, sexist stereotypes.

It’s as evil as the Republicans, just in a different way. And yes, it all terrifies me. If I am nothing but a collection of exploitable body parts to both parties, I worry in ten years I will have no rights at all.

These are dark times for women. Both parties have embraced misogyny.

Well, I DiD ask. I have no idea where you got this from — but it’s hardly from the Democratic Party.
You know, the party of Harris for President, and Hilary Clinton for President. That Democratic Party.

Unless your birth certificate matches your ID, you will not be able to vote. Did you take your husbands last name when you got married?

That’s just not true. If you can prove citizenship, you can vote. Birth certificate plus marriage certificate, Real ID, passport. Lots of options.

The gaslighting from Democrats on gender ideology is so overwhelming at times.

We all know the same people who happily refer to women as “menstruators” or “uterus-havers” would be delighted to restrict women’s voting rights if they could. Misogyny transcends political boundaries.

And you don't think this burden on women is straight up misogynist BS?

Passports are sufficient. I think it’s the women in the small red times who will have a hard time.

I thought the name on the passport had to match the name on the birth certificate (if the law passes in the Senate)?

No, the name on the picture ID has to match evidence of U.S. citizenship. Listen I find these time frightening but don’t spread misinformation. Then people tune us out.

DP. That a voter’s name matches on all relevant legal documents? No.

That a person might feel coerced into changing their name at marriage. Yes.

Serious people stopped reading when you said you are a female trumpet.

You asked why women are not speaking up. You asked why Republican women are not speaking up and I answered you. We don’t see him as a threat to our rights.

Hiw can you not see??? Have you bothered to read Project 2025 and do you realize they are following this like a playbook? What about when you can’t vote because you have a married name don’t have a passport?

This hysteria and breathlessness “I’m literally shaking” is why no one takes democrats seriously anymore.

PP, are you are waiting for the big moment when the tanks roll into the city to wake up? This is not a movie.

We have seen a consistent eroding of our rights. WAKE UP, for goodness sake. Men, women, children, the red line has been crossed!!!

Fewer than 50% of American citizens have passports.

I have a cousin who has one. Took her a ton of work plus she had to wait weeks and weeks but she got it.

No, not at all. It’s one additional piece of paper.

Look, with rights come responsibilities. Having to prove identity and citizenship to vote seems like being asked to do the bare minimum. Functional adults should be able to do this without having a meltdown, and one should be a functional adult to vote.

Yes I’m afraid. And I will be voting in the midterms.

I have my passport in my married name.

I strongly encourage every American citizen to get their passport. I think it’s a document everyone should have. There’s plenty of time to get a passport if you have not already done so. Do it now, don’t wait for the government to fall into more disarray

I actually think it would be a good use of money (for some private org / charity) to help folks apply for and pay for passports. I know the fee is nothing to posters on here but $130 could be a barrier to entry for some.

Project 2025 includes a “Plan for Women” that would strip women of basic rights: transferring financial assets from women to male guardians, ending workplace protections for women, introducing government monitoring of women’s financial transactions, and the phasing out of access to credit, loans, and property ownership for all unmarried women.

Where are you getting that? Seriously. And I'm as anti-Trump as it gets.

Its spelled out right in P2025. And he’s following 2025 to the letter.
