That is not true. The law is purposefully vague. Many RealID won’t work. But a few states have RealID that show citizenship. Everyone needs to show a birth certificate and a matching ID. It doesn’t say that marriage certificates will be able to be used. The vagueness is exactly why women (and men) should worry.

RealIDs which show evidence of citizenship would work. Apparently there are states where this is a thing. I don’t live in one so I don’t know details.

Taking action would be much more effective.

No! The data shows that this isn’t a major problem. The burden should still be on the state. I’ve always used my state ID to vote. That should be enough. Where are these new board of elections going to be in the DMV where people have to go to to register in person? During COVID I had to drive for more than an hour to get an appt at a DC DMV. The my will use the bumbling bureaucracy in their favor — to keep women from voting.
