If they are so unpopular, why are they generally gaining in vote registrations in so many states?

EXACTLY. Democrats have nothing to offer to working class Americans.

Democrats have NO leader.
All they do is HATE the President.
So SAD.

The working class is happy about tarrifs as the jobs are coming back. The uaw is very happy

What jobs are coming back? Point out some.

Please explain how this is "jobs coming back."

(And for the love of God, learn to spell "tariff"!)

Things will be better in a couple decades. Unless Trump folds (possible) or Congress stops him (also possible). But either of those possibilities won't happen today or tomorrow.

There will be enough hurt to wreck the midterms and the next few elections after that. As Republicans well know.

Now we have Trump who is even worse.

I’ve been wanting someone middle ground for a while. So tired of the left-right extremists

No, the Republicans claimed that the Democrats focused on “identity politics” — and the chumps took it as gospel and ran with it. It’s pretty easy to tell when people who claim to be “middle ground” are getting all of their “news” from MAGA-friendly sources.

When do you expect this new American plan to take hold?

And what is this new American plan?

Identity politics. Please. Who is more invested in IDENTITY than red hat wearing, flag waving, Gadsden flag license plate bearing, gun toting, cross flashing conservatives ? Tea party! Maga! Contract with America! Freedom Caucus! My freedom. My religion. No one gets rights I don't approve of because of MY religion.

Please with the identity politics crap. You just get mad because it's not YOUR identity.

+1
People are watching their nest eggs crumble away. In real time.

Even if this magical tariff plan could work out in theory, Americans hate being uncomfortable. If people start loosing homes and businesses they are going to lose at midterms.

The first major act that Congressional Democrats took after Trump was to unanimously vote to protect the rights of biological men to play against biological women.

Until Cory Booker’s marathon (and very admirable) speech, that was the only major action the Congressional Democrats had taken.

It is simply unreasonable to pretend that Democrats aren’t focused on identity politics and value it above all else. Trump is destroying everything, but what do Democrats care about the most? Where do they expend effort after the inauguration? Transgender women and their rights to play with and against biological women in sports. It’s obviously their highest priority.

I'm watching our entire retirement savings completely tank today, while my dh is worried he's going to be laid off at age 62.

F#$@ republicans.

Our friend said they’re going to have to come out of retirement.

Yes, it is absolutely ridiculous for people to say with a straight face that Democrats aren’t obsessed with identity politics. We all live the daily results of that obsession.

Whatever. Trump is rapidly taking us down Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and the GOP owns it. Americans don’t do austerity and the GOP can expect to pay for that at the ballot box.

Democrats support an inceasing minimum wage, support the right for workers to unionize and collectively bargain, support safe working conditions, support education as a key for advancement, support subsidizing apprenticeships in the trades and I could go on. the GOP does not support ANY of these things., And the immigration thing is a canard, as evidenced by Trump killing the GOP's own immigration reform bill.

It is simply false to say democrats have nothing to offer working class Americans.

If you think the democrats were ONLY focused "identify politics" then the problem is your choice of information sources.
