They are only now worried and distancing themselves from Trump because Musk is leaving. If Musk wasn't leaving, IMO, they'd go down with the ship. Republicans fear Musk not Trump.
The whispers I hear are that Musk has very, very good intel on Trump, Vance, and Johnson. Very good. And Musk has heavily implied that he had dirt on others as well. Republicans are too scared to go too far against the party out of fear on what Musk may leak about their dirty deeds. There is an air of freedom now that he's leaving. You think the videos of everyone sharing their playlists and celebration plans for the day the big announcement about Trump is made are the only celebratory plans being made? All of Trump's inner circle wants rid of Musk ASAP and cannot wait until he's gone and they have breathing room. |
They’re not anxious. They’ll just find some new bogeyman to scare their idiot voters, and those idiot voters will fall in line like the simple little fear-driven fools that they are.
Can’t afford a roof over your head? Must be a gay theater major’s fault. Kill the gay theater majors! Musk burnt down Social Security? Blame a Democrat for not throwing themselves on the pyre! Can’t afford food? Well, under the Democrats you won’t be able to afford air! It just never stops and the idiots keep lapping it up. |
Musk isn't leaving. And if he does, the broligarchy still exists. As does DOGE. |
Thiel is the one you want. He is all the things the right wing accuses Soros of being and more. |
What in the world could tank someone's political career these days? Trump is a convicted felon. Most people surrounding him are mediocre at best, and insane, or drunks/drug addicts, or worse. There is no integrity standard anymore. People can be as gross as they please. As long as they say the right thing, people will re-elect them forever. |
History suggests that they were going to lose the House in 2026 anyway. The only question now is how big of a wipeout it's going to be. Discussions of a decades-long mandate were moronic. |
Real Patriots do not allow dictators, fool. Grow a pair. |
Here is the daily reminder that nothing in the Constitution prohibits persons in Congress from being recalled and triggering a special election.
Yes it will face court battles but at this point so what. It’s not like many are doing the job and I would use their failing to show up for town halls (and their leadership actually saying they shouldn’t) as basis of them not being representative leadership of the people. |
Republicans have won six of nine special elections.
If they are so unpopular, why are they generally gaining in vote registrations in so many states? |
You saying he’s going to admit he rigged the election for them? Which they asked him to do. |
This thread is fake news |
Well, now that many of us hate Republicans in a way we've never hated them before, they should be worried.
I'm watching our entire retirement savings completely tank today, while my dh is worried he's going to be laid off at age 62. F#$@ republicans. |
There have been 16 special elections held so far this year, both state legislative and congressional. Democrats have outperformed their margin of victory or defeat from the November elections (Trump/Harris) by about 11 points, overperforming in 14 of 16 of them. Republicans have largely won in deep red districts, but at significantly lower margins than Trump did, and we're not even 3 months into the Trump presidency. For instance, the democratic candidates lost Florida's 1st, but by 22 points less compared to Harris. They lost Florida's 6th by 16 points less than Harris did in November. In the Wisconsin state Supreme court race, Susan Crawford beat Schimel by 10 points, whereas Trump won by about 1 point in the fall. |
Republicans deserve to get wiped out in the midterm elections. I’ve voted a lot of split tickets but not any time soon again with Trump wiping out the economy and destroying the nest egg we worked decades to accumulate. |
I am so with you on this. Maybe they will start to realize when their stocks are worthless |
