+1 I think it's a troll butting in from the 9th hole sand trap. |
That poster is getting driven around from hole to hole. |
It's not that hard. I really don't understand how people have trouble getting 10k steps a day. My average is 12k. |
For all those saying 3-4 miles is 10k, you must have extremely short strides. For me (5'7' and a fast walker, so stride is probably long most of the time), it takes me 5-6 miles to get to 10k. |
I thought it was the opposite - fast walking (power walking) usually means short steps. |
A lot is where you work or if you work. On days when I go to the office, I drive to my first floor office and basically sit for 8 hours. I don't leave for lunch. Then I drive to pick up DC #1 from after school activity, go home and start making dinner, eat, then drive DC #2 to practice. This is maybe 4K steps. I do usually go to the gym in the evening. By contrast I always get 10K on weekends from running around, errands, cleaning, walks, etc. |
DP. That’s the most effective way to do it, yes. |
A lot depends on your lifestyle and work situation (ex: walking to/from public transportation versus living in a car dependent area) and house size and having a pet, etc etc. |
This person is taking a cart golfing. Definitely not walking. I play 9 once a week walking and get 3 miles. Days I golf I get way over 10k. |
