His big trauma as a child was having to move from Scranton to Wilmington. I don't know about you, but most people I know have family members who have made moves for work. It may not be "happy" but it is not usually traumatic/

Bill Clinton was raised poor. I don't think Carter was raised wealthy, but his dad did own a peanut business and Carter was wealthy when elected. Reagen was probably the last GOP not born to wealth. Obama's family was not poor. His grandmother was vice-president of a bank.

Biden's father wasn't born into wealth, he came from working class and only went to high school and never went to college. He struggled financially for a lot of his life. The way he was able to give a Corvette as a gift is because for a while, he worked as a car salesman. They weren't dirt poor but they certainly weren't by any stretch wealthy or entitled upper middle class. And neither of Joe's two wives were wealthy. His first wife came from middle class and was a school teacher, Jill was also from a middle class family.

Ridiculous. Every bit of polling out there showed Kamala doing better than Biden. She was immediately polling 6% better than Biden when she was selected, and raised a billion and a half dollars. You need to find something else to blame.

Much of that money was in the pot for Biden and transferred over. I think an open convention and a primary process shouldve happened but the Biden administration was dishonest and kept the public in the shadows about how bad Biden's condition really was. I think Obama, Pelosi, Schumer and others were as gobsmacked as we were watching that debate. It was obvious we were lied to by the president's inner circle and that it is a security risk for the country for Biden to continue on. I wonder who was reading his presidential briefings every morning. Surely, it was not Joe Biden.

I guess now that the admin is on the way out, all the tell alls will come out.

Actually, I remember a lot of people talking about his mental decline. It was obvious from watching him. The press covered it up (“cheap fakes”) and said it was right wing “disinformation”. Every democratic politician out there publicly stated that he was fine, sharp as a tack, including Kamala. I think the complete dishonesty from the democratic apparatus and the press had quite a bit to do with the final outcome.

As a Federal employee myself, I did not understand how/why she got a military plane and treatment in a military hospital. I, as a civilian, would be ineligible for both.

I am pretty sure you would not get a special flight back to the US, but you might get a ride on a medical transport.

DOD civilians in Europe are entitled to get health care from DOD facilities if they are stationed there. (They do pay for it with insurance and co-pays.)

And, I am no fan of Nancy Pelosi. But, this was not out of the normal.

The myth is that Clinton was raised poor because his father deserted him and his mother and they lived with her parents. Clinton's mother was a surgical nurse and made decent money. He went to Georgetown which even then wasn't cheap and worked on the Hill as many students did. He is hardly rags to riches.

Age is not “just a number”. You are completely ignoring biological reality, unless there is a cure for aging that I am not aware of. A president that starts the job at age 80 is more than 4x as likely to die during their term as someone that starts at age 60. This fact alone should be completely disqualifying for anyone to become a President at age 80. I think we need to add a constitutional amendment creating a maximum age for presidents.
