Will Ken Paxton be next on the hotseat?

There was a Ghislaine also involved in the second incident.

Gaetz gave up a shoo-in House seat and now ends up with nothing.

He'll go for Rubio's seat.

DeSantis isn’t appointing his ass to that seat and he’s not winning a primary either.

DeSantis wants that for himself. He will not put Gaetz in that seat.

I don't see this happening. DeSantis isn't the golden boy anymore in FL. Certainly he doesn't have the MAGA support that is needed to pull this off.

Dudes only redeeming quality was his pro-cannabis stance. I bought cannabis ETFs last year on anticipation of legalization benefiting the industry and now with a bunch of zealot right wingers in charge I am concerned they may not reschedule and ultimately legalize. Ugh. With this kakistocracy, I was hoping to at least benefit financially. Oh well, back to bitcoin and so forth.

I can't think of a greater threat to democracy and fascism on the horizon than the AG appointee dropping out and the President-elect saying ok let's move on.

Gaetz wouldn't be able to hold a statewide seat, even in Florida. His district was Florabama.

Trump is such a strong leader, already making tough decisions to maintain a high-caliber Cabinet.

"Because Gaetz resigned from Congress, his seat must be filled through a special election in Florida, per the Constitution, meaning he cannot just retake his place in the House or be appointed into the seat.

"Could Matt Gaetz Run For His Own House Seat?
Gaetz—who won reelection in his Florida congressional district with 66.3% of the vote—could likely run for his own seat again in a special election. Jonathan Hanson, a professor at the University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy, told Forbes he believes Gaetz would not have a problem running again as there is nothing in Florida law that would prohibit the person who vacated the seat from becoming a party’s nominee in a special election."

He was good on animal issues, too. But not good enough to get me past the stuff he's very very bad about.

He still won. He resigned this term. He'll be sworn in again in January

This. He’ was re-elected so he’ll have his job back.

The only problem is, if Gaetz returns to the House, the ethics investigation resumes. That's the whole reason he resigned his seat in the first place.

Great then the Senate ethics committee can take over from the House.
