Christians are called not to judge but to be discerning. I don’t think any of us know who will be admitted to heaven and who not. Trump may identify as a Christian and that is his prerogative. However, there is overwhelming evidence that he is not a practicing Christian and that he is not guided by the Holy Spirit . The fruits of the spirit are a set of characteristics that are of the Holy Spirit. Trump does not exhibit ANY of the outward signs of being guided by the Holy Spirit. The fruits of the Spirit are listed in Galatians 5:22-23 as: Love Joy Peace Patience Kindness Goodness Faithfulness Gentleness Self-control Further, I see no acts of charity or building good will by Trump. "Faith without works is dead" James 2:14-26. The verse suggests that faith is not enough, and that people must also take action based on their beliefs. So although, I agree he is not a practicing Christian, we cannot know who will make it into Heaven. |
He thinks he is god.

Yes - as someone said earlier - and atheist and a narcissist |
I was a thoughtful kid, but I wasn't thoughtful about God. I believed because my parents told me I should. They also told me I should believe in Santa Claus, but they changed their minds about that when I was about 9. Actually, I realized they were Santa at about that age and we all gave up the fantasy. I didn't give up the God fantasy until I was an adult |
Cool Story but thread is about whether Trump, leader of White Christian Nationalists is an atheist. I doubt that Trump was ever thoughtful about God as a kid or adult :-/ except in terms of how he could exploit religion for personal and political gain. Interesting that his God Bless American bibles that he pawns off for $50 each were made in China (before imposing his high tariffs that will likely escalate inflation). |
