Is this an endorsement of misogyny or a reaction to feminism on some level?

Did Harris was in charge of the southern border policies and did NOTHING!

Meanwhile illegals were bussed to major urban areas due to overwhelming border cities and states.

Wake up. she didn’t do her damn job, and neither did senile Biden.

So, you completely ignored the bipartisan border bill debacle that Trump straight tanked? He is person over party and you're so dim, you just repeat his lies.

Thx for the personal attacks.

Try responding with some examples of what Harris accomplished re the border. You know logic 101.

Try harder Pp. Try some critical thinking. You can do it! Maybe.

This must be it! Thanks for the clarity!! This is exactly what’s going on everywhere with everyone!

Omg. Speaking of mental illness, go take a break from your lame conspiracy theories. Go do your real work.

Inflation is a global issue. Interest rates are set by the Fed, which is an independent agency. Dems do not control the economy. There were factors during the past 4 years outside of anyone’s control (e.g. supply chain issues and job losses due to COVID). And to the extent politicians can influence the economy, tariffs are not the way to make groceries or housing or education more affordable for the average American.

I agree that people care more about their wallets than the rights of others. But the sad thing is they’ve made a deal with the devil that isn’t even going to help them put food on the table. Do you really think billionaires like Trump and his supporters like Musk actually give a rat’s @$$ about some woman with 5 kids and a 7th grade education being able to afford eggs and gas?

Trump is a manipulator out for his own ego. There is a reason he won with the low information and less educated voters in this country. I’m sure at least half his base couldn’t even explain what the 3 branches of government do.

Gee, who wouldn’t be won over by that level of scorn? Maybe next election you could spit on them and see if it’s possible to alienate them further.

Honestly I don’t care about alienating them. I have nothing in common with people who would vote for a man found civically liable for rape and who makes jokes about groping women. If I never interact with these people I’m no worse off.

I guess the silver lining is Trump seems to be ok letting the SALT cap expire and hopefully my retirement accounts will do well. He will probably end up benefitting the people who didn’t vote for him while his supporters continue to struggle. But they’ll be getting what they voted for so I’m not going to care what happens to them now if they don’t seem to care.

This. Hope it was worth it.

Also, the fact that Nikki Haley couldn’t hack it in her own party against him tells me everything I need to know. You could have put any female up against Trump with the same result. People will hide behind pretending they’d vote for a woman, but not “this” woman or “that” woman. Turns out, there’s simply not a right woman. Certainly not against Trump - for whatever odd reason - and probably just not in general.

Yes. Plus a solid dose of misogyny:

“An embarrassment”?
“Blathering idiot”?
As compared to Trump?

Yes. Stunned and angry.

The patriarchy will never give up control over women and other vulnerable beings. I believe at the core that is what the 2016 and this election are about.

???

Most of the primary contenders were men. Nikki did better than all of them. It’s not that there wasn’t a “right woman”, it’s that Trump had the party so brainwashed that nobody, regardless of their gender, could have been the “right” candidate to defeat him.

On the other hand, if Trump hadn’t been in the race and Nikki had been the candidate, I think Republicans would have still voted for her over Biden.

I’m sure the Republicans, like any big group (including the Democrats), has some sexists, but the vast majority really don’t care. The Democrats seem to be obsessed about the sec of the candidate, the Republicans just care about the issues (and the overarching Trump worship).

As a side note, I’ve always thought Biden did Kamala a grave disservice in how he presented her. Instead of saying that out of all the possible options he felt Kamala was the best, and she just happened to be a Black woman, he said that of the four black women he was considering, she was his pick. Although the presentation certainly didn’t diminish her capabilities, it did cast her in an unflattering light. My impression is that she is a smart, capable, accomplished woman, but Biden’s selection process made those qualities appear to be of secondary importance to her demographic profile.

I want someone who isn’t a blathering idiot to be the standard by which we elect women into the top job of this country. Someone like Gretchen Whitmer, as an example.

I also don’t agree with electing someone into office that I didn’t vote for in a primary. That is so wrong on so many levels and shouldn’t be tolerated from either side. I’m glad we didn’t allow that in the end, if I’m being honest.

This was going to be a case of “history repeating itself” either way: they have both had ample opportunity do good in office, and they have both failed. But we had a choice to make between two idiots. With “history” in the back of my mind, the age old question of “are we better off today than we were four years ago” played a role in my decision making, and, well, no. I’m sorry, but no, we aren’t better.

I don’t like either, but I know what to expect from both. If history is going to repeat itself, then so be it.

Female here.

If asked, yes I would have voted for Michelle Obama/Josh Shapiro if offered. Maybe next time around.

I am also for a change at the border and no males in female sports or changing rooms. Girls and Women can be better protected on those fronts too. 3 divisions would be fine with me.

Voting is complex for many and not just a broad brush generalization of you must be [ fill in the blank ] if you did not vote for My Candidate.

Many females cannot stand that horrid laugh. Nice try.

That's misogyny, right there.

The stupidity of hanging our democracy on "males in female sports" is just something I will never understand. Sure, Doris, your girls will be MUCH safer now with all republican congress and Trump in office. FFS
