Do you think he should be hidden away like Rosemary Kennedy? Those days are over. They love their son and are proud of him. |
What happened to “Be Best”? |
He's 18. "Legally" adult but still functionally a child as any 18yo is. I loathe Trump with the heat of 1000 suns but....lay off the kid. It's a bad look. |
Ditto. I didn't know he had a special needs son but recognized it the minute they cut to him. And then my gut wrenched. People are horrible. |
Not the PP you areresponding to but YES. It's 2024. We don't hide our children from life even though heartless people like you judge. Sit down and be quiet. You obviously have no clue and your "gotcha" won't work on parwnts like me, PP, or the Walzes. |
DP - Would I feel comfortable leaving him — alone — out of a momentous event that would have a lasting impact on his life — solely because I anticipated the depraved cruelty that other people might throw his way? No, I would not. I would celebrate his presence with pride — if he wanted to be there. And it’s to Gus’s credit that he did. |
EXACTLY, PP. Screw these jerks. |
Tim’s kid was bait. Trump’s base is made up of monsters who absolutely can’t control themselves when presented with a bullying opportunity. |
Ann Coulter (who made fun of the Walz kid for being proud of his father) is a childless cat lady, minus the cat.
62 years old, never married, no kids, no nothing. Just a sad, angry, toxic void. MAGA! |
The Exonerated Five were so powerful.
Yusuf Salam: "45 wanted us unalive. That man thinks that hate is the animating force in America. It is not." |
They can't take the words back, but do they ever apologize? |
Did Gandhi Say This About Christians? "Inspirational" quotes erroneously attributed to famous people are a common internet fixture. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/did-gandhi-say-this-about-christians/ Indian independence leader Gandhi once stated, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Rating: Unproven Unproven About this rating A popular quote attributed to Mahatma Gandhi was likely never uttered by him — as is often the case with quotes widely shared online and attributed to famous people. We don't know where exactly this quote originated, but we found no authoritative source linking it to Gandhi. We found an article in the Harvard University newspaper The Harvard Crimson from 1927 that uses the quote confusingly, as though it might be a paraphrase from a Swarthmore College philosophy professor named J.H. Holmes. |

No. Not at all. I don’t think any decent person attacks or disparages a child. But the world is full of jerks who will go after a child. I think very insecure and mean people do such things. I would prefer both Barron and Gus were left alone. In fact, anyone who makes fun of or talks ugly about or spreads rumors or misinformation about these kids should be shunned. It’s obviously free speech, but I don’t want any part of talking badly about either child or anyone’s child. I work with children and there’s no way these kids deserve to be talked about and/or treated like this. They don’t have the ability to process and understand this nightmare and definitely need mental health support. I am not participating in the process of harming an innocent kid. |
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I actually am.
How did we not know when Rush did this do Chelsea Clinton? |
