It's not even insecurity or weakness. That is too empathetic a reading. They are just mean, stupid people. Stupid people who have no idea what it is to feel trust and love with other humans. And who assume that because they are sociopaths, everyone else is, too - or at least everyone else finds them funny and charming. |

+1 It shouldn't "matter" that Gus has a disability. Kids are allowed to cry with joy and pride watching their fathers accept the nomination for Vice President of the United States. But the fact that he does have a disability makes it even worse. Even this guy apparently decided that "context" required him to feel shame and take it down. That, or he was getting dragged so bad online he had no choice. |
