I knew there would be a reaction like this as soon as the camera hit him last night. I also have a teenage son with special needs.

Would you be comfortable putting your son in that environment (knowing cameras and social media exposure)?

Do you think his reaction was shameful?

This!! The problem is with idiots who would see the naked love and pride that Gus has for his father and think of it as anything to be ashamed of. What the heck am I missing?

You’re missing nothing. It was a very sweet reaction. It speaks very highly of Walz that his son loves him and is proud of him. No skeletons in that family closet.

What "situation" asshat? Being in attendance when his Dad accepted the nomination for VP? Do you realize how utterly stupid you sound? Sadly, it's not surprising that the party that's lost its humanity would mock a kid. More of the same. But fanboys like you, PP, are the worst because you twist yourself into a pretzel to explain away indefensible behavior. Ask yourself why you do that.

oh wow, just read the stuff about Barron. At least they can get him help and they caught it, if this is even true. I feel like I am the only one who thinks he appears fine. He seems quiet but not noticibly w issue. I felt bad he was being memtioned but then read the stories. Idk seems if this is true it would have already gotten out, it is far out but something someone could get therapy for and have no issues.

Please stop you weirdo trolls. No one is falling for your nonsense. Stop projecting your own dysfunction on others.

+1. Being physically present to support family members during huge events in their lives is not “putting yourself out there”. For Barron or Gus or even Tiffany.

Having a formal policy role in your parent’s administration (“senior presidential advisor”) and drawing a government paycheck is.

See the difference.

And no— if Gus is a low key presence and not an official campaign surrogate, he does not become “fair game” in October, as one PP suggested.

But of course MAGa sees no issue with cyberbullying. Gross.

"I think calling them “weird” was kind of like the “have you no shame?” rejoinder during McCarthyism. I live in a crimson red area in Western Loudoun that was awash with Trump flags and paraphernalia in 2016 and 2020. There isn’t a thing out here today… maybe it’s too early. But there’s a noticeable enthusiasm gap for Trump. I think these people are finally embarrassed and didn’t like being called weird."

How can it be too early for Trump paraphernalia when many of these people have kept up their Trump 2020 flags for four years? They must have made conscious decisions to take them down. Trump is losing a lot of his base.

Apparently, if you’re MAGA, you keep your child with special needs locked in the basement. We need more Gus in this world and a lot less MAGA.
