If at Brown or Dartmouth you’d know, so try not to worry too much about at this stage. First need to get in. |
Columbia has been intentionally reporting false objective data about themself to boost their rankings. It has nothing to do with surveys. |
And yet you respond. Hmmm. . . |
Please read how they rank, they use public information that anyone can find, not reported by any of the school. |
They also use survey results which a post previously and incorrectly said they did not use. If you look at the methodology you would see how worthless this specific ranking is. |
Very true .Emory medicine, Emory doctors are very famous Dartmouth isn't known for anything other than being WASP Disneyland. |
Your post makes no sense. None whatsoever. Commenting on stupidity in no way brings the commenter to the same level. But you guys just keep on farting in the closet. |
Columbia/Cornell/Dartmouth are the bottom Ivies. Brown is above them, but below Penn. |
Truth. |

In my experience in west and southern Africa:
HYSP & Berkeley are very well known. Other top tier state schools like Michigan and Wisconsin are also well known, definitely more than Brown/Cornell/Dartmouth, I think partly because they are large enough that ppl are reasonably likely to have come across someone who went there. Then the more science-focused privates like MIT, Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, because medicine, science, and engineering are very prestigious career paths, even more than in the US. |
+1 |
| Now we have a tier system within the ivies? The dc area achievement culture is so ridiculous. |
| As a Yale grad who lives in Europe, most people have heard of it. From Gossip Girl/Gilmore Girls if nothing else. |
