Also, these folks coming to MoCo have their A number, which I assume, means that they had their cases heard by a judge.

The other side is allowing people who meet certain criteria to come here legally for 2 years, through a special program, with the people coming here financing their flights themselves, and coming in through customs. Their enter the US via flights to FL, but they are free to settle anywhere in the US. American taxpayers aren’t funding them.

This is unsustainable and the county does not have the resources to fund generous social support systems for tens of thousands of illegal migrants. I have a graduate degree and my spouse is a legal immigrant. This issue has nothing to do with race and everything with people breaking the law and abusing the system at the expense US of taxpayers. The "rich" are not an unlimited source of tax revenue that you can tax to pay for everything without and consequences. Many of the truly rich (especially those with mostly investment income) will move to VA if they feel that taxes are too high.

Yes, the highest earners have been leaving California in droves over the past few years to escape high taxes. The Californian tax base has shrunk significantly and it’s starting to have a real impact there.

I moved to MoCo for the schools, yet ended up having to pay for private, at extreme cost, to simply insure that my kids got some teacher attention.

Speak for yourself. I would happily pay higher taxes for programs that brought more migrants here as took care of them. And I support raising your taxes too, because I and those who care about these people shouldn’t have to do it alone. You can afford to chip in some more, too.

With just what you’re spending on a private each year ((to keep your precious little darlings away from brown children)) you could help dozens of people from other countries who came here with nothing. That’s how much your taxes should be raised - by whatever you’re paying in tuition each year. You can clearly afford it.

I would prefer that money to go into a fund for reparations rather than people who have no ties here and often break laws along the way. Not to mention we don't have any background info on these people or medical histories.

We can do both. It just requires electing people who aren’t afraid to raise taxes to a level where it’s possible to do real good for people.

Haha, you are foolish to think everyone in MOCO is an aspiring trust fund liberal. A single county cannot afford to alleviate the suffering of migrants from all around the world. This is unsustainable and the county does not have the resources to fund generous social support systems for tens of thousands of illegal migrants. I have a graduate degree and my spouse is a legal immigrant. This issue has nothing to do with race and everything with people breaking the law and abusing the system at the expense US of taxpayers. The "rich" are not an unlimited source of tax revenue that you can tax to pay for everything without and consequences. Many of the truly rich (especially those with mostly investment income) will move to VA if they feel that taxes are too high.
